Biography

Dr. Miao Whang is currently an Assistant Professor in  ECE, at UNCC, working on the power system optimization and co-simulation platform design for the large scale system. Before joining in UNCC, she was an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, from 2018 to 2023. She received her B.E. degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication, China, in 2007, and Master degree from Beihang Unversity, China, in 2010. She received her Ph.D. degree on Electrical Engineering in 2015 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada, under the supervision of Professor Xuemin (Sherman) Shen.
