PRACTICE: The team practices from 3:00 - 4:45 pm every day. Daily attendance is required. We practice in the rain and snow, so please prepare. Please pick-up your child in front of the building no later than 5:00 pm. Students must notify a coach, in advance, if they are going to miss practice. If you miss a practice, please bring a note from home or send an email by the next practice. If you have to leave early from practice, bring all books and belongings down to the track. Coaches will excuse a student from practice if he or she needs time to catch up on school work. We ask that the student SPEAK to us in advance before a problem develops.
The day before a track meet will be a mandatory team practice. Two un-excused practices will result in suspension from one track meet. Three un-excused practices and or meets will result in dismissal from the team.
TRACK MEETS: Our home track meets will begin at 3:05 pm. All runners are “REQUIRED” to stay until the end of the track meet. A written note must be turned in to Mr. Dumas in advance, if a parent is to take their child home from an away meet. Pick-up times from away and home meets are approximate.
UNIFORMS: Each runner receives a top and must wear black shorts of their choice. These must be turned in following the last track meet. The students are responsible for taking care of their uniforms. Please follow the washing instructions. Each runner is given the option of using his/her own personal lock to secure belongings in the locker room. If a student loses his or her uniform they WILL BE required to pay for a new one.
INJURIES: All injuries should be reported to the coach and trainer immediately. All runners must complete and return the emergency card prior to the first meet.
