Each week, your child will have homework for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night. Their homework will be located in their communication folder. Your child will be responsible for completing each night and bringing it back to school the next day. You will know in advance if your child does not have homework a specific week. It is important for them to practice their reading and comprehension skills nightly. It is important to know that homework is checked for completion and effort, not as a grade. Each day, we will review together and if they have a question or do not understand part of their work, I will do my absolute best to help them through their thinking process before their weekly quiz that goes exactly with the type of questions that were on their homework for the week. Homework is optional- I will not make them do it, but it is very helpful for their weekly quiz that spirals the standards learned throughout the year.
