About the Teacher

Hello,

I am Kyndell Bevis. I am a graduate from Georgia Southern University. I am on my third year teaching in the Greenville School District, but have been teaching fifth grade for almost seven years now. In the past, I have taught Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts, but this year, I will be teaching READING and WRITING. 

I am the middle child of a big brother and a little sister. I am a proud aunt of three nieces: Harper,  Emmalyn, and Bekah. I do not have kids, but I do have a lazy cat named Remy and a 6 month old goldendoodle. I love to be outdoors and I love food! Pepperoni and black olives are my favorite pizza toppings. When I am not hiking, eating, or teaching, you can find me binge watching creepy TV series. I am a true Georgia peach, born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. 

You won’t find me sitting out of any fun, I am always ready to race at the playground (although I’ll lose), play a game of Uno, watch silly (appropriate) videos, or even run through the obstacle courses at Field Day. Let’s LEARN this year, but also let’s have FUN! 

My Objective 

This year I am motivated to create a comfortable and organized home for students. I plan to provide exciting and rigorous lessons and activities. I plan to be available, accepting, and understanding.  I would like this year to be an incredible year of growing, taking chances, learning from our mistakes, and becoming more than we think we are capable of… TOGETHER.
