Shannon S., known artistically as Shannonoah, is a singer-songwriter, U.S. Army veteran, and multifaceted creative based in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Born in Panama and raised in North Carolina, he’s also an aspiring photographer, videographer, producer, DJ, and clothing designer.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina and the University of Washington, he wrote “Fall Out,” the lead single for Japanese rapper Verbal’s Visionair and theme song for the Japanese drama Perfect Report. He also co-produced “I Can’t Let Go” for America’s Got Talent finalists Sons of Serendip.
Shannonoah has collaborated with Emmy winners Joseph Alonso and Jay Kenny, sung background vocals for Bone Poets Orchestra, toured with the Seattle Men’s Chorus, and opened for R&B group soLUXE. He’s currently a lead vocalist for the MELE House Band at Honolulu Community College.
His music—rooted in R&B and pop—is influenced by artists like Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Brandy, Chris Brown, Mario, Omarion, Troye Sivan, and Young Money. His self-produced debut EP and other tracks are available on all major streaming platforms.
