Welcome to my website!
I am Weiqi Wang, a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Victoria, working with Dr. Ruobing Dong.
Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Victoria. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Concordia University from September 2021 to May 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Simone Brugiapaglia. In 2023, I had a brief experience working for NumerixS Quant. I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from SUNY-University at Buffalo in August 2021, where I was supervised by Dr. Brian Spencer.
My research interests include Physics-informed Neural Networks (PINN), numerical methods (especially spectral methods), Compressive Sensing, elastic problems in solid mechanics, the Age of Information, and other general applied math problems.
