Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Policy of UC Riverside and an Affliated Scientist with the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) and the RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE). My research areas are Environmental Economics and Policy, with a focus on climate adaptation, natural disaster management, public finance, and visual aesthetics in urban planning. I obtained my PhD in Agriculture and Resource Economics from UC Berkeley in 2023.
My work is organized around three themes: (1) the economic, welfare and equity implications of disaster management and climate adaptation policies, (2) the fiscal impacts of climate extremes and disaster aid programs on state and local governments, and (3) the visual aesthetics burdens in landscape created by public infrastructure.
