Weight Log: Daily Tracker ("the app") is an independent app based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Weight entries (date, weight value, and optional notes) and app settings (preferred unit, goal weight, reminder preferences).
An anonymous user ID is generated automatically when you first open the app. This ID is not linked to your name, email address, or any other identifying information unless you choose to sign in with Apple.
If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive only the information Apple provides: a unique user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address (which Apple may relay or hide at your discretion).
If you enable Apple Health Sync, the app writes your weight entries to the Health app on your device. This data stays on your device and is governed by Apple’s privacy practices. We do not read data from Apple Health.
Your data is used solely to provide the app’s features: storing and displaying your weight history, syncing your data across devices, and sending local reminder notifications if you enable them.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
Your weight entries and settings are stored securely on servers provided by Supabase (supabase.com), a backend-as-a-service platform. Data is stored in the United States. Supabase’s privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.
Your data is retained for as long as you use the app. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app’s Settings screen. Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a resident of Canada, you have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request correction or deletion. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
