I am an enthusiastic and passionate individual who enjoy sharing knowledge with a proven record of helping students progress through positive learning experiences. I am currently a Mandarin teacher in Eagle Rock High School. I completed my Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Education at Weifang University in 2010, finishing with a High Distinction average. I furthered my study in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics under the major of Scientific Translation. In 2016, I started my cohort program at Loyola Marymount University, and got my Masters of Education and Teaching Credential in May, 2018. An avid skier and traveler, I am a self-confessed "nerd" with a love of learning, nature, and taking challenges in life.
After finishing my student teaching at Venice High School, I started my career in U.S. as a Mandarin teacher in Eagle Rock Junior and Senior High School. I created curriculum for daily Mandarin classes to students from 7th through 12th grade and I encouraged critical thinking skills by integrating Chinese culture. These diverse teaching experiences and responsibilities eventually came together to inform my decision to continue a career in education. I realized my true passion and happiest memories lay in working with students and helping people better suited to my personality and interests.
