Welcome! Dr. Wei’s research is positioned at the forefront of nanoscience and nanotechnology, where nanoscale phenomena are combined with the power of new materials. Dr. Wei and his team investigate the fundamental aspects of electrons, the interaction between light and matter, and the binding nature of ligands in nanoscale constructs that are responsive to electrical, optical, and magnetic triggers. The goal is to reveal the fundamental principles behind these phenomena, which can be developed into practical technologies, such as energy and environmental technologies, critical mineral recovery, electrocatalysis, sensors and biosensors, and nanomedicine.
