Shofar Brackenfell was planted in 2016 under the leadership of Pastor Kobus & Lorette Meyer. The church was planted in the heart of Brackenfell to serve the community of Brackenfell.

After one year, God has increased our members so that we had to find a bigger venue. We served from a venue in Soneike on the border between Brackenfell and Kuilsriver, for three years.

Once again, God added to our numbers and we needed to find a bigger venue to accommodate the growth in our children's church. So, for the last five years our venue in Cape Gate served us well.

At the end of 2026, our lease agreement comes to an end, and our desire is to now have a home of our own, for our church and our community, again in the heart of Brackenfell.

As our lease comes to an end by the end of 2026, our dream is to have a House of our own for our Spiritual Family and a home from where we can serve the community of Brackenfell, Kuilsriver and the surrounding areas.

We are dreaming of a home with sufficient space for our congregation, discipleship space for our children and youth and an outdoor area where our children can play and have fun. We dream of space where we can meet people even in the week for discipleship meetings and a venue that we can use for various purposes in the week and on Sundays.
