Welcome Back!

It is so lovely to have all the children back in school! We have been very impressed by how keen they have been to return and how well they have settled back in. Watching the children interact and play with each other, both in classrooms and on the playground is just wonderful.

There have been lots of lovely learning activities taking place across the school this week. I will share some photos with you next week.

Drop-off and pick-up times have been working smoothly on the whole; just a few reminders:

  • please ensure you arrive in your allocated time slot

  • please ensure the pavement outside the school (along the hedge) is one-way only; if you do not need to follow the one-way system around the playground, please use the path directly in front of the building, past the front door

  • Class Four parents: we are happy to release the children to you through the side gate so that they, and you, don’t have to walk all the way around the one-way system. However, it is important that this doesn’t cause an issue by creating two-way traffic……..

So, rather than standing on the pavement, outside the railings, please stand either on the grassy area by the side gate or the paved area in front of the Class 4 windows (surrounded by hedging) and then leave the site via the path which passes the front door. I hope that makes sense!

World Book Day

The children should all have brought home their World Book day tokens this week. I tried to arrange to have a selection of books delivered to the school to distribute as I know it is more challenging than usual to get out to shops to purchase them but unfortunately I was not able to do so. I do know that Tesco has the full range of £1 World Book day books so you may be able to pick them up with your weekly shop.

Lockdown Stars

Today, every child should be bringing home a special certificate to say thank you to you for all you have done to support their learning, and more, over the school closure period.

You may need to have a rummage through book bags if it is not presented to you!
