Weekend Playgroups is a non-profit, incorporated association.
Every family that continues to attend after a first trial session joins as a member and pays an annual fee of $3.
We have a small team of volunteers who make sure these sessions happen, benefiting all families who love coming to our weekend playgroup!
We are currently seeking new helpers for 2025.

Gemma Williams is a scientist and mum who always has an experiment or something crafty up her sleeve. With experience volunteering on a preschool committee as well, Gemma brings steadiness, wisdom and pragmatism to playgroup as well as her two kids and playful sense of humour!

Marissa Johnpillai is a creative person who enjoys technology of all kinds and often brings music, storytelling or cooking activities to playgroup.
MJ's three kids have had loads of fun and made lasting friendships through Weekend Playgroups.

Founder
Candice Martin started Weekend Playgroups to support other parents due to Victoria having very few weekend playgroups. Candice works full time and is extremely passionate about creativity, being organised, team work and music and loves helping the community.
Although Candice no longer volunteers with Weekend Playgroups, she's remains a member and a massive supporter!
