The Canddo project is a not for profit social community enterprise set up to correspond with loneliness issues and help better a persons wellbeing.
We were primarily set up as a nature based outdoor woodland community group, facilitating sessions that immerse people in nature through forest bathing walks, woodland activities and woodland craft making.
Our success is demonstrated through positive social impact and we plan to continue and grow to become a leader in the field.
Through learning from our community we have developed to become a friendly and inclusive place for people who like making things, sharing knowledge, experience and skills.

The interests of the current membership focus on woodwork, craft, gardening and social spaces. We have a significant number of tools available to facilitate these activities and our members are often willing to share their expertise and knowledge.
We are developing our tool library to aid members tackle strains from the cost of living crisis and create a sustainable tool library and of course utilising the library means users don't need to find storage in their own homes.

We believe that everyone, from any background, should be able to learn new skills and make new friends. To enable this we run:
Open workshop sessions ‘Members’ Attend and work on a chosen woodworking project (make and mend) for all levels of experience.
. Access to a wide range of tools.
. individual workbenches.
. Support from Members and Volunteers.
Members can use our resources and tools to create amazing new things. Our members love to share knowledge and skills, so lack of experience is not a problem! We’re not for profit – driven by our members for our members.
