Interactive Learning Tools for Teachers

What is interactive learning? If we use the term interactive many of us would immediately think of education learning tech tools and online learning platforms. Interaction is the participation and action that influences another person. Traditional pedagogy has always incorporated some form of collaborative learning but now with new technology teachers can create a more diverse differentiated classroom.

Many students would shy away from participating in an old school role-play for example. If a student had to stand up with their partner or group to take part in a speaking practice, participation wouldn’t be low. But if this activity was an online interactive book, video or learning software participation would of course be very high. The old traditional methods are still of great importance. But we now see the modern classroom is evolving with more focus on collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, character and communication.

Digital Interactive learning tools can facilitate and enhance teaching and learning. Students should be encouraged to use collaborative tools available. By communicating with each other students are able to share their knowledge, tips and advice on the related study material.

Emerging Tech gives us the chance to differentiate and give all learners an immersive learning experience which helps them retain more information.

Interactions may include; multiple choice quizzes, tests, learning scenarios, simulations, animation, videos, polls and questions. All of these interactions help learners to deepen their understanding of the subject matter. They learn through experimentation, dealing with unpredicted circumstances, and from their own mistakes.

As you know there are a myriad of tools out there on the web just waiting to be discovered. There are also workflow, and stack tools that will automate them for you.
