Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya (NSM), Udaipur, established in 1964 and the Human Physiology department was established in 2006 as a part of the Biological Sciences. Later in 2009 Hons course was introduced with 50 No of seats. Later on seat capacity was increased to 55 during COVID 19 situation.

The basic principle that provides the foundation for the study of human physiology is the maintenance of homeostasis through the operation of complex control systems including all levels of the hierarchy of human structure and function. Therefore, the course in the curriculum emphasizes integrated study of humans across this hierarchy of structure and function.

The course enriches students in understanding the human body and their functional aspect like how does body works. Students come to know about different organ system of the body. Besides there are Nutrition and Dietetic, Sports and Exercise Physiology, Ergonomics, biochemistry, bio-physics, molecular biology, genetics, bio-technology, Microbiology and Immunology, etc. which help them to get placed in the different applied biological fields.
