Diet & Nutritional Survey

Through this survey students usually visit different area or places and do Diet Survey practically. In Human Physiology curriculum of Tripura University Nutrition and Dietetics are included. Through the Diet survey students scientifically identify calorie consumption and expenditure. Besides they identify deficiency or surplus of the nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins. After completion of diet survey of the individual family students used to discuss about this with the family members and guide them for taking balanced Diet. In this way students used to acquaint with experimental learning. Every year diet survey was performed.

Last survey was performed on 31.10.2022 at the East Dhajanagar, Udaipur, Gomati District. 3rd year H. Physiology Honours students including 5th semester pass students participated this programme. Forty eight students were participated this survey. This is a part of the program of the ‘Prati Ghare Sushasan’ of the Govt. of Tripura.

A. Swacchata Action Plan Committee Convenors(SAP)

Dr. P Debray, HOD of the departments acts as convenor of SAP committee and following programmes were undertaken by the SAP action plan. Students of Human Physiology Honours and pass students are actively participated in the following workshop as a part of the college waste management, sustainable development and lively hood generation programme.

i. Organised a Workshop on ‘How to make Leaf compost’ with the department of Zoology on 30.12.2021.

B. ‘Awareness Program on Science, Environment & Climate change Issues’ committee

Dr. P Debray, HOD of the department acts as a Coordinator of the above committee and following programs were conducted during 2021-22. All Human Physiology Honours and pass students were actively participated in all these programs.

i. 17-June -World day to Combat Desertification and Drought was Observation with mega plantation and adoption programme. All the Human physiology pass and Honours students planted and adopted tress in the college premises.

ii. 16th September - World Ozone Day’ was observed. Apart from awareness programme a Poster Competeion was also performed through google form

iii. ‘14.12.2021 - National Energy consevation Day’ was observed on 23.12.2021 and a Wall megazine was published regarding energy conservation.


iv. ‘28th February -National Sciene Day’ was observed on 29.3.2022.


V. ‘22nd March – World watrer Day’ was observed.


C. Green Audit

Dr. Debray, HOD actively participated in to complete the ‘Green Audit’ of the college. He is a internal member of the Green Audit team of the college. Human Physiology Honours and Pass students were also participated in the CO2 Foot print analysis and Garbage management of the college.
