Website of Kazumasa Ohno (大野 和正)

Welcome to my site! I am astronomer working on planetary science at National Astronomical Observatory of Japan as a postdoctoral fellow. My primary research is about theoretical modeling of exoplanetary atmospheres as well as planet formation in protoplanetary disks. The goal of my research is to establish an understanding on what physical and chemical processes are working in exoplanetary atmospheres and on what we can learn about planet's origin from atmospheric observations.

I obtained PhD degree at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2020 with supervised by Dr. Satoshi Okuzumi, and then moved to University of California Santa Cruz for working with Dr. Jonathan Fortney and Dr. Xi Zhang as a postdoc. I recently moved to the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan for working with Dr. Masahiro Ikoma.
