HOW DO I CHANGE THE BACKGROUND COLOUR OF A CHAPTER?
When on a chapter, tap the middle of your screen. Two black boxes should appear from the top and bottom of the screen. Look at the bottom box. There should be four symbols. Tap the second symbol, the moon/ sun, to switch between a white and black background.
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD A NOVEL?
When on a chapter for the desired novel, tap the middle of your screen. Two black boxes should appear from the top and bottom of the screen. Look at the top box. On the right side of it, there should be three symbols. Tap the middle symbol. The whole novel will be downloaded. Alternatively, you can tap the 3 dots on a novel’s cover and tap the download button.
IF I'VE PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED A NOVEL AND I WANT TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST CHAPTERS, WILL IT DOWNLOAD ONLY THE LATEST CHAPTERS OR THE WHOLE NOVEL?
The whole novel will be downloaded again. Adwalled and Premium walled chapters will not be downloaded unless you unlock the chapters.
HOW CAN I SWITCH FROM PAGE/ TURN VIEW TO SCROLL VIEW WHEN READING?
When on the chapter, tap the middle of your screen. Two black boxes should appear from the top and bottom of the screen. Look at the bottom box. There should be four symbols. Tap the third symbol, the ‘Aa’. Look at the bottom-right of the black box. There should be two icons; a box with arrows pointing up and down and a box with arrows pointing left and right. Tapping the box with the up-and-down arrows will enable scroll view or you can tap the box with the left-and-right arrows to enable page/ turn view instead.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE TEXT?
When on the chapter, tap the middle of your screen. Two black boxes should appear from the top and bottom of the screen. Look at the bottom box. There should be four symbols. Tap the third symbol, the ‘Aa’. On the middle of that new black box, there should be a slider. Slide it to the right get bigger text, and slide it to the left for smaller text.
CAN THIS BE DOWNLOADED ON AN AMAZON DEVICE?
No, the app can only be downloaded on iOS and Android devices.
WHY DO I SEE STRANGE SYMBOLS IN MY CHAPTER?
Step 1: Go to Settings
Step 2: Find the Apps (or Applications, depending on your device) section in the menu, then locate the app (Webnovel) that you want to clear the cache or data for.
Step 3: Click Force Stop and then confirm that you want to Force Stop the app.
Step 3: Tap on Storage and the buttons for clearing the cache and app data will be displayed.
Step 4: Click the Clear Cache Button.
Step 5: Exit out of Settings and launch Webnovel.
Note: This will clear any downloaded stories and they will need to be redownloaded.
If that doesn't work you might try the Clear Data button found in Step 3. Clear Data will reset the APP to a fresh install.

If clearing the cache doesn't work, try zipping up the 'book' folder in your ‘Qidian’ folder (on your phone) and send it to the developers. You can send it through the app. Profile>Suggestions. This will allow you to create an email to appsuggestions@webnovel.com
Use a title such as ‘Corrupted Text’ and attach the zip file of your 'book' folder.
WHY DO CHAPTERS NOT SHOW/ LOAD IN MY LIBRARY?
You could be getting 2 types of errors when clicking on a chapter link in your library.
"Content Deleted" occurs when the author/ translator posts a chapter and then deletes it. The display error can be fixed by deleting the novel from your library and then re-adding it. You could also go to the novel's main page, instead of its Table of Contents.
"Chapters Not Updating" occurs when your library doesn't show the latest chapters for a novel (e.g. a novel may be on 100 chapters, however, only 50 chapters are showing in your library). This can also be fixed by deleting your novel from your library and re-adding it to your library, and also going to the novel's main page.
