Dengue Awareness Program

WeBe Cell successfully organized the dengue Awareness Program on December 14th, 2023, aiming to educate and empower the community on preventive measures against Dengue fever. The program took place at the faculty premises and witnessed the active participation of students, faculty members, and staff. The distinguished resource persons for the event were Mr. Jeyakrishna, Public Health Inspector, Thirunelvely, and Mr. T. Sureshkumar, Public Health Inspector, Nallur. Both experts shared their insights and knowledge on Dengue prevention, providing valuable information to the participants. Mrs. Thasika Thanushan and Dr. (Mrs.) Dilogini Sangaraths served as the program coordinators, demonstrating their dedication and organizational skills in ensuring the success of the awareness program.Their meticulous planning and execution contributed significantly to the overall effectiveness of the event.

workshop on the “Basics on Nutrition Management

WeBe Cell successfully organized a workshop on the “Basics on Nutrition Management” on November 28th, 2023, aiming to enhance awareness and knowledge about nutrition among the students of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Jaffna. The session was conducted from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the faculty. The workshop featured Mr. J R Shanker Lambert, Registered Nutritionist (SLMC: Reg.No.92) as the resource person. Mr. Lambert, a renowned expert in the field of nutrition and nutrition management with B.Sc food science and nutrition specialized in applied nutrition at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, brought his expertise to educate participants on fundamental aspects of nutrition management. Dr. (Mrs.) Sathana Vaikunthavasan and Dr. (Mrs.) Dilogini Sangarathas took charge as program coordinators, ensuring the smooth flow and organization of the workshop. Their dedication and meticulous planning contributed significantly to the success of the event.

WORKSHOP ON BACK TO THE NATURE

Well being cell of the Faculty of Management studies and Commerce, University of Jaffna has organized a workshop on Back to the Nature: Based on Medicinal plant, on 30th November 2022 at 10.00am. Dr. (Mrs) . V. Sathiyaseelan head of the unit of Siddha medicine, Served as a resource person for this workshop. Students from all the batches participated in this workshop. 

ACTIVITY-ONE: WEBE CELL-WORKSHOP ON PEACE EDUCATION

WeBe Cell of FMSC organized a  workshop on Peace Education for our faculty members including academic and non academic staff and the students of the faculty in August 2019. 

ACTIVITY -TWO: AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR PSYCHO SOCIAL COUNSLEING

We be Cell has conducted Awareness Program for Psycho Social Counselling for Our Students on 5th  August 2019.

ACTIVITY THREE: Well Being Cell of Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce organized a workshop on 'Challenges in Working as a Team' for the staff of the faculty.

• Activity Four: Well Being Cell of Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce organized an event on Yoga and meditation for creating stress-free work place at the board room of the faculty of management studies and commerce University Jaffna on 9th of march 2021 . 

• Dr.S.Ketheewaran, Head/ Sports Science Unit, University of Jaffna served as a resource person for this yoga and            meditation. Purpose of this workshop is to maintain mental and physical health of the staff/FMSC.

Activity Five: Well Being Cell of Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce organized a workshop on stress management and well being  at the board room of the faculty of management studies and commerce University Jaffna on 27th of October 2021 . 

Dr.S.Sivathas,  Consultant Phychiatrist and Dr.R.Gajanthan Consultant Physician  served as resource persons for this workshop. Purpose of this workshop is to maintain mental and physical health of the staff/FMSC.

WeBe Cell has  arranged a Webinar on "Menstrual Problems and Hygienic Practice" on 28th January 2022, Friday at 8.30 pm.
