APPLICATION TO TEACHING
You could use Edpuzzle for a variety of purposes, like videos with questions related to your subject areas. Students could watch the videos, and you could see if they knew what they were supposed to learn. Edpuzzle could also be useful with assessment of social studies content, since there are many history videos on YouTube.
It's good for SEL also and could help build community when all students watch the video together. Maybe you could ask questions in the video and each small group in the class could answer them. This gives them collaboration and communications skills, which are part of the 4Cs of 21st century learning.
One way that I will be using is to teach a science lesson to my first grade class on force and motion. I'll show the video and add questions for the students to answer if what they see if push or pull. I will then have them use real objects in the classroom to do what they saw in the video in small groups.
