How to Crop a Circular Section from an Image (Step by Step)
Open the Image Editing Tool
Launch your preferred image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, GIMP, or an online editor like Pixlr or Canva).
Import the Image
Upload the image you want to crop by selecting File > Open or dragging and dropping the image into the workspace.
Select the Elliptical Marquee Tool (Circle Selection)
In Photoshop, select the Elliptical Marquee Tool from the toolbar (it looks like a dashed circle).
In GIMP or online tools, the tool may also be called "Ellipse Select" or something similar.
Draw the Circle
Click and drag to form a circle. Hold down the Shift key while dragging to ensure it remains perfectly circular. Adjust the position by clicking inside the selection and moving it.
Refine the Circle
Adjust the size or position of the circle as needed. Ensure it covers the area you want to keep.
Invert the Selection
Once you have your circle, go to Select > Inverse to select the area outside the circle.
Delete or Mask the Outside Area
Press Delete to remove the outside area or apply a mask if you prefer non-destructive editing.
