It can be challenging to keep a wood-wick candle lit. Here are some recommendations for encouraging a good burn:

• Lightly coat the top of the wick in olive oil

• Light the wick using a utility lighter for 3-5 seconds

• Allow the first burn to last at least 3 hours or until an even layer of wax has melted

• Trim off the burnt edge of the wick to about ⅛-¼ inch height 

Wood wicks burn at a lower temperature and may produce a smaller flame. Sometimes it is only a dim glow rather than a traditional candle flame. However, this should not prevent the candle from melting the wax and diffusing the scent. 

The wooden spoons are to retrieve the melted wax once the flame is extinguished. Our candles and wax melts are dual-purpose, and the melted wax can be used as lotion.

Our candle wax only contains pure soy wax and skincare-grade fragrance oils, making the melted wax a simple and natural lotion.
