This Privacy Policy describes how Weather - But Fun (the "App") is provided by Derrick Lionardy

What The App Does

The App displays weather information (including widgets and optional alerts). If you allow location access, the App can show weather for your current location.

Information We Collect / Access

The App may collect or access the following data depending on how you use it:

• Precise location (optional): If you grant location permission, the App may access your precise location to determine your current area and fetch weather for that location.

• App usage analytics: The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage and improve reliability. This can include events like screens viewed, refresh actions, settings changes, app version, and basic device/app information. Firebase may also process identifiers used for analytics/measurement according to Google's SDK behavior and your device settings.

• Local app data: The App stores settings and cached data on your device (for example: saved locations, units, and widget settings) so the App works correctly and loads faster.

How We Use Information

• To provide weather results for locations you select

• To improve performance, fix bugs, and understand which features are used

Sharing / Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. The App may share limited information with third parties to provide its features:

• Google Firebase Analytics (usage analytics)

• Weather and data providers (to fetch forecasts and related data). Depending on the feature used, your device may contact:

  • A proxy service operated by us and hosted on Cloudflare (used to fetch weather/forecast/air-quality data while keeping upstream API keys off the device)

  • OpenStreetMap Nominatim (reverse geocoding to convert coordinates into a location label)

  • Open-Meteo (weather, flood/snow estimation data)

  • CurrentUVIndex.com (UV index data)

  • Other upstream providers used by the proxy (for example: OpenWeather, WAQI, BMKG, and optionally Pirate Weather)

These providers may receive request data (such as coordinates you request weather for) and standard network metadata (such as your IP address) as part of providing their services.

Data Retention

• On-device data remains until you clear the app's storage or uninstall.

• Analytics retention is controlled by Firebase/Google settings.

• Proxy caching may temporarily store responses to improve performance.

Your Choices

• You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.

• You can uninstall the App to remove locally stored app data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13.
