Thanks to the Pathway to Innovation Scholarship several workshops have been offer free of cost and open to all students. The purpose of these workshops is to educate about wearable technology and provide a hands-on experience in which students can merge art and technology through the use of non-conventional materials like conductive paint or thread.
During this workshop students were guided to make a light-up bracelet using metal buttons, 3V battery, battery holder, conductive thread and one LED. Around twenty students participated in the workshops and were able to successfully create their own unique bracelet.
During this workshop students were guided to make a light-up toy using a slide switch, 3V battery, battery holder, conductive thread and two LED. Around fifteen students from different departments participated in the workshops.
During the Entrepreneurship & Innovation week WearTech demonstrated how unique materials like conductive paint and conductive fabric works through hands-on demonstrations and games. This event was a great exposure opportunity and one of big impact to the community. We also got to learn about other projects that also impulse innovation throughout the campus.
