They said it could not be done, when Goog proposed his statewide single payer healthcare plan he was told it would be too expensive, it would lower quality, it would be a bureaucratic mess, it would fail. But it has been law of the land for months and everything Republicans said would happen hasn't, Greater Appalachians have access to healthcare whenever they need it free of charge. and without fear of medical bankruptcy. Despite this, the GAGOP is committed to repealing Googcare and returning this state to the deadly market based healthcare system. That cannot happen, Governor Mann will combat all attempts to repeal Googcare and keep healthcare as a right for all citizens of the Commonwealth.
The working class built America, they're the bedrock to our society and have continually given to this nation despite being treated like trash. Governor Mann knows this and is committed to expanding the rights of all workers in Greater Appalachia. Most pressing is that Right To Work must be repealed and power that were taken away from Unions are restored. In his second term, Governor Mann will sign a bill abolishing Right To Work and will work with organized labor to see that more Union friendly bills are passed. There isn't a politician more Pro-Worker than Goog, you can bet on that.
Goog knows that the right to bear arms is sacred, he won't let anyone infringe on the rights of law abiding gun owners. Many politicians have come to the public with self proclaimed "Common sense" guns policies, but much of the time, the ideas are misguided and proven to be ineffective. Governor Mann supports policies like stricter background checks and waiting periods, but under no circumstance will he sign a bill which bans so-called "Assault Weapons", or any firearm for that matter.
When the Atlantic Commonwealth declared that Maryland and Delaware belonged to them, Governor Mann immediately jumped into action to protect the citizens of Greater Appalachia from foreign encroachment. First, he drafted a resolution to make it very clear that the Greater Appalachian government and legislature reject any claim that pieces of the Commonwealth belong to others. Then, he ordered the Attorney General to sue Atlantic and have the bill passed struck. After a long court case, the Supreme Court of Atlantic found the bill unconstitutional and it's no longer in effect. Governor Mann takes all threats to Greater Appalachia's sovereignty seriously, and in a second term he will continue to do so.
It is undeniable that Greater Appalachia is being affected by man-made Climate Change. As sea levels rise the Atlantic coast will be swallowed up more and more, causing unfathomable amounts of damage to our environment and population. Governor Mann will continue to fight climate change and secure a future for Greater Appalachia's children. We will do our part in adopting green technology, continue to tax carbon emission, and invest in renewable energy and end our reliance on fossil fuels.
It is an unfortunate truth that Greater Appalachia has not been an ally to the LGBT Community for a long time, but the Goog Administration has taken steps to improve this. Googcare guarantees that Queer Appalachians have access to any medical care they need, conversion therapy has been banned entirely, and the Constitution of Greater Appalachia has been amended to ban all discrimination based on sexuality and gender identity. Governor Goog will continue to find ways to improve the lives of LGBT Appalachians and fight back against all attempts by Republicans to once again allow discrimination against them.
The American justice system is broken, unfair, systemically racist, and even classist. There's no better example of this than the cash bail system we see in the United States. Cash bail criminalizes poverty, keeping those who can't afford it in in detainment for weeks or even months while awaiting trial. This can lead to people losing their homes, jobs, and even children. Governor Mann is committed to abolishing cash bail entirely, this will reduce the prison population, keep lives from being ruined, and will make our justice system more fair and equal.
The attack on women's rights in America has been consistent and relentless, this is why when then-Assemblyman Governor Mann and other Democrats were drafting the state constitution, we codified the right to self autonomy and access to abortion services. Despite this, Republicans in the Commonwealth have made it their goal to restrict this right, they've drafted plans to ban abortion and amend the Constitution. This cannot and will not happen, Governor Mann will continue to protect women and fight back against old white men who want to control their bodies.
When Governor Goog said he would increase the pay of teachers, he meant it. Educators in Greater Appalachia saw their salaries double, alongside a yearly raise of $2,000. The Republicans, of course, want to repeal this. I won't allow it. The next step we must take is to fight the rising prices of a university education, millions of Greater Appalachians are shackled by debt right when they graduate, instead of contributing to the economy they're forced to pay off debt for years. My Administration will work to end overpriced education and make learning affordable again.
America's infrastructure is too car centric, if you can't afford to drop a couple hundred or even thousands of dollars on a automobile, then you won't make it in the USA. The Goog Administration will make Greater Appalachia a leader in public transport, increasing busses in the streets, investing passenger trains, and reshaping our infrastructure to make the Commonwealth more walkable.
America's roads are covered in potholes, our bridges are crumbling and much needed infrastructure has been abandoned. The Goog Administration promises that if re-elected it will pass a bill putting billions into fixing our damaged and long-ignored roads and bridges, the longer we wait the worse it will get. We cannot leave a destroyed Commonwealth to the future generation, something must be done.
