Question: When and where are practices held?
Answer: Every Tuesday, and Thursday evening at 7 PM by or on the Mattlin Middle School track. We start workouts with drills on, or near the track. Additionally, we meet on Sundays at 9 am during the winter months. We start with drills at Farmingdale High School, and make our way over to the Bethpage Bike Path for LDR (long distance running) workouts. Please refer to our calendar for more information!
Question: How do I join the team?
Answer: Come to practice first! If you enjoy our practices, which we know you will, then Pamela Lee will provide you with a membership application (or you can download one from the Forms/Applications part of the website). You must also sign up as a member of USATF-LI for the current year, and use club affiliation 0722.
Question: What sort of events do you compete in?
Answer: We compete in events of all kinds! While we mainly focus on road racing, we also participate in track and field, and cross country races that are held primarily on Long Island ( and some in the NYC area too!) throughout the course of the year! Check the calendar page for upcoming events, and how to register for them!
Question: I missed practice and would like to complete the workout on my own, how do I do this?
Answer: All workouts will be placed on the calendar on our website in a timely fashion after practice has been held, so members can do it on their own if they are unable to attend practice.
Question: The question I have is not listed here, what should I do?
Answer: E-mail us or fill out the contact form on the "Contact Us" tab of the website, and we will get back to you as soon as we can!
