MMU (Multimedia University) is Malaysia's first full-fledged private research undergraduate-focused university, as well as a government-linked university as it is owned by Telekom Malaysia.
The university has three campuses located in Selangor, Melaka, and Johor. It is one of the few private institutions in Malaysia with numerous campuses.
UPG was formed in 1999 by the Multimedia University Cyberjaya Counseling Unit with the primary mission to unite all students together in a large group known as the 'Peers Group,' where they are encouraged to speak out and share their ideas and opinions for the development of the group, to develop students with the extraordinary abilities required to become effective leaders and to serve the community, both inside and outside of MMU.
We Share, We Care (WSWC) is a community outreach program aimed at improving STEM education among B40 kids aged 10 to 15. The University Peer Group (UPG) of MMU is organizing this project, which is financed by the Khind Starfish Foundation.
Khind Starfish Foundation (KSF) was established by KHIND HOLDINGS BERHAD (Khind), a publicĀlisted company on Bursa Malaysia to carry out corporate responsibility (CR) projects and activities of the Khind Group in Malaysia.
This project, which has been run by the Khind Starfish Foundation since 2014, asks all Malaysian undergraduates to propose grassroots programs that promote happinessĀ and address the core causes of poverty and poor education everywhere in the country.
