The Reynoldsburg Youth Human Trafficking Coalition is looking for sponsors for a January event to raise awareness about underground economics related to human trafficking. The group of high school students from across academies has been researching what they describe as "modern day slavery" in hopes to helping the community to protect its young people.

BELL Academy senior Myles Stanley, vice chairman of the student coalition, said that when he first learned about human trafficking, he did not make a connection to himself or his peers. That came over time as he studied law and other related topics in school. Now, he is looking forward to continuing the work beyond January's conference and his own graduation in the spring.
