  • Any couriers who deliver products requested by customers through the platform

  • Partners who use this platform to manage the delivery or sale or products

If you use the platform, you will agree to the following policy and any future adjustments. Your use will also be subject to the terms of service.

What Do We Collect?

We at Connect Media collect data from various parties. These include the following items:

Data From Customers

You may provide information to us in many forms:

  • Contact us and profile data, including your email and physical addresses, your name, and your phone number

  • Any photographs that may be necessary for managing your data

  • Project information, including details on what services you purchase and other instructions

  • Feedback on anything you utilize, including a rating of the service, a merchant, and a courier

  • Responses to surveys, including ones for promotional or contest-related purposes

  • Payment info; a third-party payment service provider will utilize your info, as our servers do not collect full payment card data

Data From Active and Prospective Couriers

We will collect these pieces of data from any active or prospective couriers that work with us:

  • Profile information, including one’s addresses, and phone number

  • Survey info

  • Payment information for tax reporting and payment purposes; the courier’s bank account and tax info may be included

Data From Merchants and Providers

We will gather these bits of content from our merchants and partners:

  • Profile information, including data on one’s contacts and addresses

  • Product information from a merchant, including product details and its price

  • Bank account info for payment purposes; anything else necessary for facilitating a payment may also work

Content We Collect From All Users

We will collect information about any person who communicates with our customer support team or any other segment of our business. We can gather your name, email address, and any messages or attachments you directly provide.

We can also collect feedback from all parties and share them with customers and couriers. We share these details to help provide information on the experience. A courier will receive reports on one’s ratings for services, for example. But identifying information on customers will not appear in a courier’s account.

Customers can provide info to us surrounding their experiences on the platform. They may leave reviews of different merchants and orders. We will collect this information from these customers to review what is happening and to confirm how well everyone uses the service.

Information We Will Automatically Gather Through a Client’s Use of the Platform

We will automatically gather these details through the user of a platform:

  1. Location and Sensor Data

We will collect a customer’s location data while on the Connect Media app. We gather this data regardless of whether the app is actively in use or is in the background. Our location data will help identify which markets are being used the most or what opportunities are available for future deliveries. We can also use this to produce better incentives for couriers and to track their progress in what they are completing. The data is for analytics purposes and will ensure whatever content moves forward will be easy to manage.

  1. Device Info

We will collect data from the users’ devices, including their IP addresses, the web browsers they use, the mobile operating systems they utilize, their phone carriers, and other unique factors. We can also review whether someone registers with a Facebook account. The latter point can also include a user’s Facebook name.

  1. Usage Data

We will collect info on your interactions on the platform, including whatever pages you were using before visiting our website or our mobile app. We can also track whatever products you search for or purchase, when you visit our platform, and other factors. This data helps us review how our platform is functioning, plus it lets you improve upon how our platform is working.

  1. Call and Text Data

We also work with third parties to review text messages, phone calls, and other communications between customers and couriers. We can monitor the phone numbers, the contents of text messages, and the times when these interactions take place. Our team will also record and access the audio content of phone calls between users and Connect Media, but we cannot access phone calls between customers and couriers.

  1. Cookie Data

We utilize cookies and other tracking devices to monitor how people use our platform. We use these cookies to see what content is more popular, plus it helps us authenticate activities. Cookies may also save whatever preferences you have on a website.

Our system uses session and persistent cookies. Session cookies will disappear after you close your browser, while persistent cookies will stay on your browser and will be ready for use when you reach our platform.

All cookies are for analytical purposes, including for work with Google Analytics. Visit google.com/policies/privacy/partners to learn more about how Google uses data from these cookies. You can use the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser add-on if you want to prevent Google Analytics from using your data for analytical purposes.

  1. Referrals

You can refer Connect Media to other parties if you wish. We can request access to your mobile device address book in this case. We can then send referral text messages or emails to those in your address book. We will only use the data from that address book to manage whatever referrals you wish to utilize.

You will consent to us sending your public profile image to whatever contacts will receive referral links if you choose to provide data.

By inviting a friend, you are stating that you have received that friend’s consent to provide one’s contact data with Connect Media. We will use that data to send an invitation to our platform. We will also store that info to track whether someone will accept the referral. The effort is to see how successful we are in referring our work to others. Marketing emails may also be sent out to others.

Users are not allowed to send or publish or share any false data surrounding our referral program. Such actions may be against various laws from the Federal Trade Commission and other parties.

Users should not send referral messages to children under 13 years of age.

Connect Media will share your data if you were referred to our service from one of our referral schemes. The content includes cases where someone tried to refer you to our service. We can share your name whether you have signed up with us or place an order with whatever referred you to the service.

How We Utilize Personal Data From Third Parties and Publicly-Available Sources

We can also use data from third parties. Here are a few of the listings we will utilize:

We can gather information on you through any partner that provides delivery services with us. We can utilize data on your purchase and your identifying info.

  1. Courier Background Reports

We work alongside third parties to ensure our couriers are safe to utilize. We check the driving records and criminal background histories of all our couriers, whether they are prospective or active. The data helps us ensure we hire the most trustworthy parties.

  1. Affiliate Data

We can also gather data on you and others through many affiliates with Connect Media. For example, we can collect Facebook data from people who access our platform through Facebook. We can do the same for other social media platforms. We can review whatever data you may list in your privacy settings.

Check the privacy policies for any social media sites or other third parties you utilize. We will be subject to those policies when we gather data from those websites.

  1. Content From Non-Affiliated Third Parties

We may collect data on you from a non-affiliated third party. The effort is on what we can legally gather to confirm your identity or other factors. We may review data like a credit report to ensure you are safe for business, or to confirm your identity.

Some of the content we can collect from non-affiliated third parties includes demographic data. These points may help us identify who is using our platform, providing us an opportunity to review what people are interested in the most when they use our services.

How Do We Use the Information We Gather From Our Users?

We will use the information we gather from our users for many reasons:

We will use the info we gather to provide services to our customers, including managing transactions and other activities. We can review how people use our platform, plus we will track and inform people about whatever orders they are managing.

Between Customers and Couriers

We want to ensure our couriers and customers have access to the proper bits of data they need for managing transactions. A courier can review a delivery location and other identifying data. The customer can review the courier’s name, photo, rating, and real-time location. Some data surrounding the courier’s vehicle may also be available for the customer to read.

The phone numbers stay hidden between the two parties, but we may allow those numbers to be visible in rare cases.

Any feedback a customer providers to the courier will not include the customer’s identifying name.

Between Couriers and Merchants

A merchant can review the courier’s name and location before that courier picks up a delivery. The merchant could also communicate with the courier if necessary.

Between Customers and Merchants

We can share transaction details between merchants and customers. Merchants can access the customer’s profile image, feedback, and other content surrounding an order.

Any information provided from customers to merchants will not be subject to this privacy policy. The customer’s data will be subject to whatever privacy policies a merchant may hold.

Service Provider Sharing

Connect Media will share user info with service providers that complete services on our behalf. These include services like processing payments or advertising new services to others.

Other Forms of Sharing

We can also share information with third parties for many reasons:

  • When info is necessary to comply with legal actions or rules

  • When a law enforcement or government party needs data as a means of protecting others

  • To ensure our platform is secure

The advertising here is also called interest-based advertising.

These ads are based on what you experience and whatever the partners feel you are interested in the most. You can use outside solutions to control whatever cookies you might get out of the system. We have no control over any opt-out links in the setup. We are also not responsible for anything you choose when running different mechanisms.

Social Media Management

You can log in to the platform through various social networks. You can also access Facebook and other social networks through our platform.

You have the option to link your social network account to Connect Media if you wish. But if you link your account to us or log in through your social network profile, we can collect personal data from your profile.

The social network you utilize may provide data to us for analysis purposes. Each social network has a dedicated privacy policy, so review what your network says. We are not liable for any privacy policies a social network uses.

You can also place details on the actions you complete with us at Connect Media on your social media platform. Your social network usage is governed by whatever network you utilize any not be Connect Media, so your data may still be accessible to the public.

Your Choices

You have the choice to provide different bits of data to our platform. These include:

  • Details on your profile through its settings

  • Your email address; contact our help center if you need to change the email address that links to your account

  • Location data; you can keep this secure, but you may not order anything through us if it is private, as your location data is necessary for facilitating some actions

  • Whether you want to receive promotional emails; all customers will receive administrative messages, but promo messages are optional
