What will tryouts look like?
During the choreography clinics you will learn a short pom/jazz routine, a set of kicks, and basic skills. Each dancer will be grouped with 2-3 other dancers and assigned a time slot for their final audition. Slots will be every 10/15 min. You will do all the required skills, optional skills/tumbling and perform both routines for a panel of 4-5 judges. After your audition, you are free to leave. Other dancers are not allowed to watch auditions... the only people in the gym will be the Coaches, the group auditioning and the panel of judges.

How will I know if I am on the competition team?
An email will be sent to all dancers within 24 hours of audition. If you do not make the competition team, you may choose to still be a part of the school based team to gain more experience. All members of the competition team are automatically placed on the school based team.
How many people will you take on the competition team?
There is no set number. We will go based on however many dancers show potential. Typically, there is a large break in scores from the judges panel. This break shows where there is a break in the skill set between dancers.
What does it cost to be on the team?
Dancers are required to purchase jazz shoes and tights. All other mandatory items will be covered under fundraising efforts done by all members!
What if I do not make the competition team?
You can still join the school based team! The school based team is great for new dancers or dancers who are new to our specific style. The school team gives you a chance to learn how the team runs and learn the technique we are looking for. We encourage you to continue on the school based team and audition for the competition team again in the future.
