Kicking off the second day of the workshop is Poonacha Medappa, who presents his research on the impact of donation-based funding on effort reallocation on platforms, with a focus on GitHub and StackExchange.
Up next is Olga Slivko, who discusses effective strategies for combating hate speech on Twitter. Her research includes a meticulous evaluation of policies such as Netzwerkdurchsuchungsgesetz, and the challenges of keeping hate speech under control on social media platforms.
Johannes Kasinger presents on the topic of "Shrouded Sin Taxes," which involves the use of taxes to discourage certain behaviors.
For the final presentation of the workshop, Adam Feher discusses platform liability, including a fascinating modeling approach to prevent cherry-picking behavior by platforms when penalizing bad actors.
