Data-driven economic agent-based models

at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa

The goal of the workshop is to connect the researchers that in the last ten years have been building data-driven agent-based models in economics and finance, or developed novel techniques about data assimilation and parameter calibration for ABMs. We view this workshop as the first step towards a community around data-driven economic ABMs.

For more information about the aims and scope of the workshop, please see our manifesto.

We are looking for examples of data-driven agent-based models as well as methodological contributions. If you are interested in joining the workshop, please submit an abstract by July 17, 2022, following the instructions in our call for papers.

The workshop will take place at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa on September 27-28. It is intended as an in-person event, but it will be livestreamed to reach all interested audience.

In the same week there will also be a workshop on ABM calibration/validation on September 26-27 (we will hold some joint sessions with them) and a PhD workshop on September 29-30 in which the PhD students at the Sant'Anna School will present their research. You are welcome to attend the other workshops as you wish.
