Money for mission offerings and snacks at the Sugar Shack
Dress up night outfits
A positive, hopeful, enthusiastic attitude
Camp Theme: "Faith Engagement"
"Faith Engagement" was selected as the camp theme by the Regional Youth Council (RYC), an elected group of campers who help plan the camp experience each summer. The theme will help campers think about how they can engage with their faith in a meaningful way as they head home from camp. What are strategies for devotional practices? How can campers incorporate their faith into other interests such as journaling, music, art, time in nature, etc.?
The program leaders will be selected soon! Last year's program leader, Kristin, is pictured here... with a felt ball stuck to her Velcro hat.
Camp Mission Project: Essentials Café
Our Mission: To create a place of equality where everyone, with different gifts, abilities, and resources, will have the opportunity to eat, find welcome, and contribute as volunteers. Patrons at the cafe donate what they can to eat breakfast and lunch meals together in a warm and hospitable environment. Volunteers work together to find, grow, cook, and serve food in a warm and welcoming way.
Why? To alleviate food insecurity in the Lehigh Valley and to provide a place where friendships and understanding can flourish across all socio-economic groups.
Dress up nights are optional, so bring something for all or just the one that gets you most excited! The themes usually tie in some way to our evening activity!
Dress Up Nights
Sunday: Hometown Pride
Wear something to show where you are from!
Monday: Casual / Athletic

Night on the Town!
A note from Delaney Brummer - President of the RYC about the Night on the Town!
While we are never going to leave Mt. Morris the RYC (Regional Youth Council) hopes that on Tuesday night you feel transported to the town we create! This is our biggest fundraising night, and all proceeds from this night will go towards supporting our mission (Essentials Cafe- which you can research more on their website essentialscafe.org). This is an exciting night that puts the FUN in FUNdraising.
You may be wondering what activities we will be having this night so I will do my best to give you an almost inside scoop (I have to keep some things a surprise).
Dress-up night of Barbie and Ken (see the RYC instagram: Chetek1965 for dress-up insporation)
A “carnival” area that may or may not include a bouncy house
A flower shop
A jewelry shop
A bakery which may be a selling place for the well known Chocolate Cinnamon Roll!
A beach (just the sand part)
Sports arena
A live auction
Ghosted Island
As you can see the RYC has a lot of fun planned for our night on the town, this night is mainly raffle based (tickets and baskets of prizes) and at each destination, there will be prizes that are generously donated by our staff. There will also be a live auction where you can win things such as a steak dinner, Madame President’s (Delaney’s) Mystery Box and many more. So what is the most important part of our night? Participation! Each camper will be able to participate regardless of funds, but may want to bring additional funds to help them win big at the auction or enter into more raffle drawings, keep in mind that ALL of the funds we earn through this auction will be going back to our Mission!!!
I CANNOT wait to see you all at Chetek 2024 this summer! Remember to bring your friends but more importantly bring a good attitude! We are going to have a GREAT, AMAZING, AWESOME, RADICAL, EPIC, and most importantly LOVING week!
See you all soon,
Delaney :)
