CAMILLE

Hired by UNIT at the age of 15 for her IQ of 161, Camille has been decoding alien computer technology since before she took her A-levels. She was originally signed on to work on Project ████████████ at the top level of Canary Wharf in Torchwood London, but was transferred to Torchwood Glasgow when their previous computer expert was found ██████████████████████████████████████. She considers this a crime only because they were caught.

Camille attests her genius in computers to her avid tests of human self-electrocution as a young girl. She has many talents involving homemade bomb-making and a collection of tea cosies knitted by various old Scottish ladies. She says she strives to have a life outside of Torchwood, getting involved with geek communities and amateur fireworks-makers around the Glasgow area.

Under the leadership of Lukas Engström, Torchwood Glasgow is working like a well-oiled machine. The team enjoy each other, despite sometimes disagreeing, they are very close. They keep Glasgow safe from the various aliens and artifacts from The Leak.

( verse 2 ) not quite normal

The team knew the danger of working in their base. So it wasn't a shock when it returned. But to Camille, seeing those she considered family gutted took away her will to continue. She looked for an IT job, with her skills it wasn't hard to find a big company to work at.

After a few years, after an alien-related incident made it to the news and with years to soften the pain, she picked up the job again as an after-work hobby. Keeping an eye out for alien devices, storing them where no one else would, using what was left of their base to keep track of The Leak's tides. She was the only one who knew enough to keep people safe and it was a more interesting hobby than the knitting she had picked up.

A "loan" from London, with no team to keep her safe, U.N.I.T. called her back to where she belonged - according to them. A change of air might help, after everything. So she returned, back to her family, back to her old job. Maybe she'll be able to forget.
