Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport - UAB
The Aerobus is a fast (35 minutes) shuttle bus that connects Barcelona - El Prat airport (Terminals 1 and 2) with the city center of Barcelona (Plaça Catalunya).
There are two Aerobus: A1 and A2. The first one departs from Terminal 1 and the second one from Terminal 2. Both of them have similar stops once they leave the airport. We recommend leaving the bus at Plaça Catalunya, which is the last stop.
You can buy your Aerobus ticket on the spot at ATMs located in both Terminals T1 and T2, but you risk wasting time in the likely scenario that the ATMs are overcrowded. You can also buy your ticket aboard the Aerobus, but in this case, you must top up. The driver does not give change on a ticket over €20.
On the other hand, you may buy your ticket online, which is strongly advised. The cost is the same for every option for purchase.
The FGC is a public railway service that connects Barcelona with some nearby areas. Plaça Catalunya's underground station has many ways in since it communicates different means of transport from different zones of Catalonia. Therefore, it is essential that the FGC sign is followed, to avoid mistakes.
Tickets must be bought at the ticket machines in the station. It has to be a 1 zone ticket. Here you can find all the information needed. Regarding the schedule, you can find it here.
To get from Plaça Catalunya to the venue, you need to take the S2 railway (with a destination in Sabadell Parc Nord). Then, 17 stops (and roughly 40 minutes) later, you need to step out of the railway in Universitat Autònoma, which is the railway station in the university in which the congress takes place.
Once you get to the university, it is fairly straightforward. You need to walk from the station to the venue of the WCF congress. You have to follow the indications to the Faculty of Educational Sciences (Ciències de l'educació). It is a 5- to 10-minute walk.
You can also use Google Maps to avoid any troubles. The whole journey is available here.
This is a comfortable option since it offers an accommodation within the campus of the university in which the event takes place; therefore, there is no need to leave the campus itself. It is a convenient location to stay in since it is the closest to the venue while still being well-connected with Barcelona.

Another option is the residence for researchers. It offers researchers and professors of any discipline accommodation during their stay in Barcelona. It is next to Las Ramblas, one of the main streets of the city center, which makes it easy to reach the venue.

Barcelona is a city full of hotels and other kinds of accommodations and has a wide range of possibilities that can suit different needs. Since it is directly connected with the university by different means of transport, many options are valid. However, we advise you to look for a place to stay near Plaça Catalunya, from where it is very simple to get to the campus (you can follow the aforementioned instructions, FGC to Universtat Autònoma).
