Fr. Midić is the current 2nd General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, succeeding his predecessor, Bishop Stuart. He was one of the initiators, together with Cardinal Gerard Imbert, to reopen the WCC in 2024.  He is part of the Serbian Orthodox Church of ROBLOX. Compassion and love towards those who believe differently have convinced him that his point of existence is to spread love and unity despite different beliefs. He has contributed to strengthening relations between Orthodox churches and other Christian churches, introducing them to the beauty of Orthodoxy and Eastern spirituality. He's an alumni of the Orthodox Theological Faculty of Saint Andrei Saguna, where he graduated with a master's degree in interreligious dialogue and creating peace, and Pontifical Gregorian University as a doctor in ecumenical theology. He has been teaching dogmatics, philosophy, and ecumenical theology at the Orthodox Theological Faculty of Saint Andrei Saguna.
