Williamsport Chamber Choir & Orchestra History 

In 1999, local musician and conductor David Lassiter conceptualized the Williamsport Chamber Choir & Orchestra as an opportunity for trained regional singers who sought an opportunity to learn and sing high-quality, intriguing small-scale choral literature. With the assistance of friends and family, WCCO performed its first concert in December of 1999 at the Community Theater League. Since them, the choir has set a high standard of quality performances of a broad range of repertoire and the choir's educational outreach now sponsors three Youth Choirs. Concerts have included regional premieres with featured roles involving local soloists. Over the years, WCCO has been blessed with the leadership of the regions' top choral directors who have led collaborative performances with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, Billtown Brass, the Nutcracker Ballet, and the Susquehanna Valley Chorale.
