Career Detectives: Recognizing Talent in Your Clients
April 8, 2026 at 12:00 PM Pacific / 3:00 PM Eastern / 4:00 PM Atlantic
What if your clients already hold the clues to their own career direction, but need support to recognize them?
In this engaging one-hour webinar, Karae White draws on more than 30 years of career coaching experience to share practical strategies for helping clients identify patterns, strengths, and possibilities that can lead to more personalized and sustainable career paths. Framing the practitioner as a “career detective,” Karae will explore how everyday experiences, moments of energy and engagement, and recurring interests can offer valuable insight into career fit and direction.
Participants will be introduced to practical tools and approaches including Everyday Clues, the Good Time Journal inspired by Designing Your Life, Barbara Sher’s concept of “Scanners,” and the use of Generative AI as a career exploration support tool. The session will offer concrete ideas for working with clients who may feel stuck, unfocused, or uncertain, particularly those with broad interests and non-linear career paths.
This fast-paced and practical session will leave career development professionals with immediately applicable strategies to help clients connect the dots, gain clarity, and move forward with greater confidence and alignment.
