BPA Elections
If you are interested in submitting a nomination for the 2021-2022 school year, please review the information below. Nominations for the upcoming year will be accepted beginning March 2020.
Candidate Qualifications
A Candidate for office would ideally have a student enrolled for at least one year, be in good financial standing with WCA, and submit a letter for support from his or her Pastor (optional). New members are welcomed. Newly elected officers shall serve a term of one academic year with the right to succeed themselves for an additional year should the Leadership Team approve. Officers can serve a maximum of two (2) consecutive years.
Nominating Process
Nominating Committee shall seek a minimum of two (2) nominees for each office being vacated for the upcoming year.
- If only one candidate is found, the candidate for the position may run unopposed.
- The general membership shall be notified that nominations are being received. All members may submit nominations including self-nominations.

Officers and a Description of their Duties
The President:
- Shall preside at all meetings.
- Shall be member ex officio of all committees, except the nominating committee.
- Shall appoint all committees, subject to the approval of the Leadership Team.
- Shall have the power to dismiss from the floor all discussion deemed to be irrelevant to the purpose of the Organization.
- Shall notify all board members of upcoming meetings.
- Shall give notice of all meetings to the school families.
1. The Vice President:
- Shall perform duties of the President in her/his absence.
- Assist the President in whatever duties are designated by the President.
- Shall serve as the Chair over the Committees.
2. The Secretary:
- Shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the BPA General Sessions and Leadership Team meetings.
- Shall have custody over all records and documents of the BPA and Leadership Team.
- Shall provide copies of the minutes to the WCA Head of School.
- Shall conduct all necessary correspondence.
3. The Treasurer:
- Shall have the responsibility and custody of all BPA funds and securities.
- Keep a record of all receipts and disbursements.
- Prepare and present updates at BPA Leadership Team meetings and General Session meetings.
- Will keep the accounting records open at all times for the inspection of the Leadership Team.
- May write checks with the consent from the Leadership Team.
4. The Communications Coordinator:
- Keeps records of programs and events at Woodstream Christian Academy.
- Takes photos and/or coordinates with other parents to take photos throughout the year.
- Tracks Parent Volunteer hours.
5. The Committees Liaison
- Supports the BPA Vice President with the various Parent Committees.
- Assists with coordinating volunteers.
- Provides support to committees such as working with the Academy Office. Functions as Manager to coordinate room assignments, to make copies, and to ensure that the set-up and clean-up demonstrates care for the event and the facility.
