Prof. Wayne Powell

My scientific research interests involve field-based isotopic, geochemical, and petrological studies. Currently, I am involved in three lines of research: 1) the geological mechanisms that fractionate Sn isotopes during the development of ore deposits; 2) the provenance and broad-scale trade of metals in European and Anatolian prehistory using non-traditional stable isotopes (Sn, Cu, Ag); and, 3) the effects of metamorphism on metallic ore deposits.
