The cottage is absolutely amazing, surrounded by rice fields and mountains, yet just at 15 mins with scooter (that you can rent just at the cottage) from main town (Singaraja). We managed to enjoy the beauty and peace of a walk to the waterfalls (stunning!) but also go for some shopping in town. Special thanks to Anggy (the housekeeper) who cooked for us the most yummy food ever! Just be aware of humidity cause the cottage is not fully insulated and you can easily sleep in wet sheets. The fan though, makes it way better. Overall we would definitely recommend everyone to stay at the cottage!

Our stay at Wangi's house has been very pleasant. She designed and built the cottage to get in contact with new people, therefor we felt very homely and welcome. Wangi also took us through the ricefields and organized a waterfall tour for us which is very close to the accomodation. The breakfast was delicious and there is also a chef available to cook dinner for you if you wish. Thank you Wangi for this extraordinary experience in your cottage and we hope to see you again soon. Keep your smile! Greetings from Germany.

We booked only 2 nights here, Though as soon as we arrived I wanted to stay longer and ended up booking another night. The place is so much more beautiful than the photos. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. I would recommend staying at least 3 nights to gain the full experience. We definitely want to come back here.

Wangi and her whole team were more than amazing on this trip, and her cottage is beautiful. Sadly, our 2 year old was sick the whole trip so we weren't able to fully appreciate all there was to offer. But Wangi went above and beyond to help any way she could. The location is perfect for a quiet and relaxed holiday, surrounded my rice fields, nature, and beautiful waterfalls. And the food was the best dishes we ate the whole trip! We would highly recommend. :-)

I pretty much read all the reviews for this cottage before booking it for our stay and had high expectations due to the glowing reviews. And yet, I was still blown away by how lovely the cottage is and what a wonderful host Wangi is! Firstly, our flight landed very late and we arrived at the cottage at 2.30am, and Wangi and Vipin was nice enough to come and meet us there for the handover. Within the first hour we already loved the place so much (mind you, we haven't even seen it in daylight) that we decided to cancel our bookings for Seminyak that we'd planned for the end of the trip and decided to stay on here. The cottage is close enough to the main road and still feels completely secluded surrounded by beautiful rice fields. Every little detail is looked into and we were totally comfortable here. Ketut and Errik are amazing cooks and we genuinely had better food in the cottage than we did outside! Gede, who drove us from the airport and back was also very friendly and helpful! All in all, we had the best trip! And Wangi, you made us fall in love with Bali! We're definitely coming back! For anybody who is looking forward to a stress free, beautiful cottage close to scenic views and stunning waterfalls, we highly recommend this place! And it comes with an amazing bunch of people too. :) Truly felt like family!

If you want aN experience where you can connect to locals and enjoy some relaxing time than this is perfect. It is so quaint and really lovely. Wangi has done a great job. You can choose to relax or head out and about. Take a good book for early nights. Which we loved.

The most magical and beautiful surroundings, this charming cottage is a dream come true! Me and my boyfriend stayed at the cottage and everything was amazing. Located in the middle of nature very romantic, We could have stayed forever, unfortunantly someone else had booked the place. This is by far the most stunning place We have stayed on our trip and i recommend everyone staying at Wangis cottage at least once!
Kathrin
The best place to stay in Bali! If you want to have a relaxing holiday without traffic and great locals don't move on surching and book Wangis cottage! We enjoyed it so much! The cottage is so beautiful and cozy and the stuff will make all your dreams come true! We will come back and we recommend this cottage to everyone, who want to relax and discover the amazing nearby. We are so thankfull for meeting such nice peopel and making our cozy and natural experience!

This place is as good as the photos look. Wangi is fabulous, and having someone cook for you is great fun and great value. The food is fabulous too. There is a restaurant up the road, but we didn't use it. We stayed for two nights, and that was prob enough with three children. Next time we go, we'll leave them behind, and just never leave. An Eden.

I'm worried about writing this review... I'm worried because, if everyone's stay at Wavi Cottage is as AMAZING as mine was, they'll be too busy to host me again! So many wonderful memories to last a lifetime. My stay was positively unforgettable. Wangi, Anggy, and Fivven are so very kind and welcoming! From the start, all aspects of my stay- booking, communication, arranging pick-up, orientation/tour, and the cottage itself-- everything was 5 star. The views, the food (Anggy I miss you...), the fresh air, sounds of nature and beautiful skies. Everything. Was. Incredible. Breathtaking. Spectacular. Wish I could move in. Ok, now to some details... -The cottage is located in a small town, a short walk off the main road. Surrounded by fields full of flowers and rice being worked by farm hands. Makes an awe inspiring sight. -As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and secure. Lockable doors, mosquito nets, spare cell phone, and frequent caring contact with Wangi and Anggy and Fivven helped me plan and find out what was worth checking out. -I spent much of my time at the cottage relaxing, but wonderful day activities can be arranged. -Drive to cottage is very scenic, beautiful hills, landscapes, and cultural landmarks to enjoy along the way -Cottage itself is very beautiful, clean, lushly landscaped with beautiful flowers, fruit trees, and shrubs. Just beautiful. I could look out at the yard for days. -Being slightly off the beaten path means you can enjoy the sights and sounds of a slower, more rural life: roosters crowing, toads, geckos, grasshoppers, cows. Such a neat way to fall asleep and wake up. -Try the bath... under the stars. So nice. -Try the loft bed, I found it even easier to hear the noises that all the natural life outside was making from that bed. -Anggy, Wangi's excellent housekeeper is an amazing cook, no need to leave for meals. -Hammock. Enjoy the hammock. Alot. I'll live vicariously through you... -Wanggi and her team went out of their way to help me many times, from a sprained ankle to offering advice- can't thank them enough. If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful, friendly place to relax and enjoy Balinese life, consider staying at Wavi cottage. Really. Don't hesitate or I'll just scoop up all the bookings... Thank you again Wangi, Anggy, and Fivven!
Michaela
This is one of the most beautiful homes in the world to visit! Wangi is one of the most warm hearted and vibrant people I have ever met, she was easy to communicate with and what ever we needed she helped with. She has hired a lovely house keeper who cooks you breakfast every day and optional to cook you dinner as well and let me tell you it is fricken delicious!!! Some the best food Iv ever eaten from the sweetest women ever. Stunning views, breathtaking waterfalls walkable from the house where you can swim and jump or just look in awe. And the little town itself is adorable. The surroundings of the house fills your heart and soul with warmth and happiness. Your neighbours are rice farmers and cows and it really shows you an authentic bali. You won't want to leave. I recommend anyone wanting a relaxing, quite and life changing escape to go here! I'm coming back!

Wangi picturesque cottage was the highlight of our trip to Bali. Set in the beautiful fields of flowers and fruit trees we loved relaxing afternoons reading books in the hammock and listening to the frogs drifting off to sleep. The simple but well appointed cottage offered a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and outdoor activities. Seeing the nearby waterfalls and swiming/jumping into the pools is a must, as is taking in the sunset from the Shanti restaurant overlooking the gorge. Wangi and her assistant Ketut were the perfect hosts and their hospitality made our stay there one we won't soon forget. We look forward to returning for another spectacular experience.

If your idea of coming to Bali is parties, beach bars, bikini babes, magic mushroom or just getting wasted, then this place is certainly not for you. But if you're looking for peace and serenity, gracious people, wonderful views, countryside living, good vibes and a true and authentic Balinese experience then you're spot on. Set in luscious green fields, amazing views, friendly locals, but still fully equipped with all the modern amenities you need. There is a rustic and magical feel about this place, it's beyond words. I loved everything about it. The cottage is just gorgeous. Now let's talk about the person who made this paradise within a paradise a reality. Wangi. I've been using AirBnB for quite some time now and not met anyone like her. Not even close. The level of hospitality, service and that personal touch is just out-of-this-world. Wangi is a gem of a human being and your first point of contact will assure you that you're in good hands. She is willing to go beyond her means to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wangi has a team of wonderful locals who are more than happy to assist you during your stay. Gede the in-house driver provides airport pick-ups and is full of energy and enthusiastic about his culture and heritage. The long drive from the airport was pleasant and Gede even made stops along the way to visit some famous puras or whenever an amazing view pops out from nowhere. Ketut the housekeeper is present in the mornings and evenings and she prepares delicious Michelin-standard cuisine. There's a few good eateries around (Shanti and Allam are the better ones), but I had my meals prepared by her, and enjoyed every bit of her cooking. All in all I am extremely pleased that I chose to stay at Wangi's cottage and I'm not exaggerating. What I wrote are just my honest and sincere reflections about the joys and all the good vibes I experienced while staying there. There's so much more that I want to add but most have been covered in previous reviews. And to you. Yes you who's reading this. Trust me. Trust Emma, and Mark, and Jean (some of the beautiful people who've stayed here previously). But most importantly trust your instincts. I know you've taken a liking for this place when you're browsing through the photos. You're right. All you need to do now is book this place and let Wangi and her team do the rest. It'll be the best decision you'll ever make! I came as a guest; I left as a friend. My only regret is not staying longer. But at least now I have some place to return to when I'm back in Bali.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 boys (6yrs and 3yrs) stayed 3 nights in Wangi's WaVi Cottage. It has been an absolute highlight of our trip!! Wangi is a lovely host and came by twice to see us. "Miss" Ketut cooked delicious meals for us and took such care in keeping the cottage in perfect condition, spoiling our cheeky boys with ice cream, her yummy fried bananas and special New Years gifts. We will really miss her smiling face! "Mr" Ketut was also very helpful and kind and took us on a walk through the rice paddies and to meet some of the neighbouring families. There are places nearby you can easily walk to for meals if you want to eat away from the cottage. Use the motorbike Wangi provides for hire or arrange a lift with local guides on the back of their bike (our boys LOVED this) and head towards Sambangan to a warung or store. Wangi's cottage and the beautiful Ketut and friendly people in the area gave us the experience of Bali we wanted to share with our boys. Waking up to roosters crowing, birds singing, enjoying the day trekking waterfalls with cheeky guides, eating fantastic Balinese foods, relaxing in the garden in the afternoon, exploring on a motorbike, going to bed after sunset listening to frogs and geckos, sleeping under the mosquito net.... As far removed from the hectic tourist bustle of the south as you can go... and so worth it! Terima Kasih Wangi, Ketut and Ketut!!!!
Gabrielle
Don't hesitate anymore, Wangi's place is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature of Bali with a wonderful welcome!!!
Molly
Really cute and fully equipped, great location to waterfalls! Wangi and ketut are super nice and the food was delicious
Lisa
We had a great stay at Wangi's place. It is in the middle of the fields and a great place to relax. Ketut the housekeeper took good care of us and Wangi came around every evening to see if everything is fine and spend some time with us. Along all our Bali accommodations this was definitely our Favourite one. It is very peaceful, you can relax in a hammock, try some fresh papaya juice (grown in the garden) by Ketut, visit the waterfalls or have some nice dinner around. We would definitely go there again. It's a little hidden paradise.
Richard
Wonderful remote location and the cottage is very well appointed. We had great fun visiting the waterfalls. Our main problem was the provision of food. There was nobody to prepare lunch or dinner for us, and we had no advice on which warung/restaurant to go to. We only found one open and the food wasn't much good.
Francesca
Wow. If you have got this far to be reading reviews just book this place! It is hard to put in words how fantastic the cottage is. It is situated in the most beautiful surroundings with a lovely garden. The interior is just as wonderful as the outside too. Wangi and Ketut are the most fantastic hosts and make you feel so welcome and at home. There is nothing Wangi hasn't thought of for her guests. Ketut took great care of us and made us delicious breakfasts every morning. I am currently travelling and have been to so many lovely places but Wangi's cottage stands out and will remain a special memory from my trip.

It was amazing stay at Wangi's cottage! We stayed 2 nights and went to waterfalls nearby. was so fun!!! Every neighbor was very kind, sweet and children are so cute. The cottage is wonderful and really comfortable. Ketut made us a great breakfast and tea! We really loved it:) To wangi - Thank you for amazing stay. We enjoyed playing cards and we won't forget this wonderful memories we shared!

What an incredible experience with such amazing people. On arrival I was sick with food poisoning and the team looked after me like I was family. The cottage is a unique traditional building which is a credit to Wangi. I also loved the tranquil country location with view to the everchanging mountains. The food was great- thank you Lahu. And special thanks to your warm daily smile. To Ketut - what a wonderful young man you are and I wish all the best for your future. Wangi you are a kind soul and I look forward to the day I can return. Cherish your touch of paradise and I appreciate that you have shared it with me.
Vera
We loved our housekeepers who have taken an amazing care of our needs. We've loved our leaving space, the feel, and energy of the area, the local people, our view of the mountains and lush greenery ... Wangi created an absolutely wonderful space and had managed to think about unexpected details ;-) Our stay at the cottage will remain to be a memorable experience for my kids and I. We also loved our tour of the local village and the trip to waterfalls!
Carolyn
We checked out on arrival as this property was not suitable for our needs. The bed was too hard with a thin foam mattress and the wifi was unstable.
Emma
Wavi cottage is just like a dream come true!! It was just so peaceful, welcoming and a real paradise. I cannot praise Wangi and her staff Lutha and Kettut more. We felt so welcome with their gentle manners and caring hearts. When we arrived I had started to feel unwell and Wangi arranged to get me antibiotics and painkillers late at night, delivering them at nearly midnight. Really nothing was too much trouble. We had the most delicious food, Lutha is such a talented cook and with such care and beautiful presentation. Wavi cottage allowed my husband and I to completely relax and switch off busy minds. We saw so many amazing flowers, rice farmers, insects and creatures, my favourite was the brown frog who lived in the roof and the mini ghekos. It really was like heaven. We did a waterfall trek, again like a tropical paradise. Highly recommended! We made such good friendships here with honest kind and wonderful people. We were so sad to leave but hope to come back one day!
Franziska
Wangi's house was really wonderful! I don't know where to start. Right from the beginning she organized a pick-up from Ubud and had everything for us arranged. The cute little cottage is north of Singaraja in the mountains and it felt so good to get there after the heat in Ubud. It's in the middle of the local rice fields, it was much colder and there was always a very nice breeze. During the night it gets a bit colder and sleeping was nice and cool. I can highly recommend her cottage, that was actually built by her uncle. Wangi is such a nice person! Outgoing, funny, cute and very helpful. She always answered right away and tried to help us with everything. Doesn't matter, if it was a waterfall trekking tour or a hiking trip to one of the volcanos, Wangi organized everything. But another great part of the cottage are the housekeeper Ketut and his friend Luh. They really pampered us! When we woke up in the morning they were already there to prepare our breakfast! They cleaned up every day and Luh is the best cook ever! We stayed in the cottage for every dinner because Luh cooks unbelievably good. Ketut is a really smart and entertaining young little fellow! We loved his company and he helped us with everything. Whatever you do, please stay here. The nature is so nice, it's cooler than in the rest of Bali and the locals there are so friendly. We really enjoyed it.
Eleanor
The host Wangi was amazing, very helpful and made all the arrangements to make our stay hassle free and enjoyable. The listing is accurate – the pictures don’t do the surroundings justice. The area is remote – but peaceful and the local people so happy and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend staying here! The home cooking is really worth requesting as well.
Chris
We had a great experience staying here. The host Wangi was very friendly and very helpful with what to do in the area. The Food served for lunch and dinner it was very authentic and fresh. Sumenadah was also a great host he took us to places we wanted to visit and made sure we didnt get ripped of. I highly recommend this place, we will be returning here for another holiday in the future.
Elke
We stayed at Wangi's cottage for two nights and we had a wonderful time here! Wangi is so friendly and helpfull. We rented the scooter to go to Lovina, to see the dolphins. We also went to see the waterfall 's with a guide. The location of the office is not so far away from the cottage. The breakfast is very good, we had the banana pancakes and they were very tasty! We really recommend this place to other guests!
Jean

There is a Kitchen you can cook by yourself also. Buy food in the village and experience the self cooking !! What an absolutely incredible place to stay! We could not recommend Wangi and Luhtu enough for their wonderful hospitality. This place is a must-see if you want to experience the real Bali away from the tourist route. Despite being in the middle of an amazing rice field, there is still plenty to do around the village. We enjoyed the waterfalls, the singing from the village at night, the immaculate room with its beautiful bathroom, the late night chats with the wonderful Wangi and Luhtu and Luhtus incredible food! We will definitely be back!
Erika
We could not expect more! The location is wonderful as well as the cottage. For sure it was the highlight of our stay in Bali! The area is not so touristic and totally authentic. The staff ms Luthu and Wangi the owner were two angels and we felt at home and part of a family. The house itself is cool, new and with all the comforts you need. If you are looking for a real balinese experience come here for at least 3 nights. With a motorbike you can easily explore the area (lovina, rice fields, waterfalls, beji temple, manjangan - best snorkelling/diving spot at about 1 hr30). ms Luthu can arrange a delicious indonesian dinner at the cottage and bring you around the rice fields and the village. Don't miss this place and these lovely people. Wangi is always available on the phone and she spent a couple of hours with us one eveing..that was really appreciated. Super highly recommended!
Robyn
Wangi was an amazing host from the start, she arranged transport from the airport. She was there to great us upon arrival. She organised a bike for us to use during our stay. The daily breakfast cooked by luhtu was always so tasty and a great way to start the day. And evening meals upon request where just as lovely! The house and surrounding area was very beautiful with plenty of activities and places to eat, within a short bike ride. If your looking for a traditional Balinese experience then this is the place to stay. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. And wangi was such an accommodating host, it was a real pleasure to have met her. Ross and Robyn Edwards

Wangi and Luthu are the loveliest Person we mat on our journey. They are so friendly and helpfull that we both "fall in Love " with them=) . The cottage and the waterfalls are so wonderfull .you have to see this! Luthu is the best cooking person i knew, her pancackes are awesome! All in all The best decision to stay Here.love you Girls ❤️

My fiancé and I had a truly relaxing stay at Wangi's cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully designed and kept impeccably clean - the boat bathtub is particularly cool. Luthu who cleans and cooks meals is an amazing chef and is so lovely. I highly recommend staying at the cottage for dinner for at least one night, we thoroughly enjoyed everything she cooked (the Gado Gado was AMAZING). We unfortunately didn't get to spend too much time with Wangi as she was away for part of our stay but she came by for a chat the day before we left. She is so sweet and funny but don't let her fool you - she acts like she's not a great chess player, but she beat us every time! ;) We went to see the waterfalls which was really nice and the next day drove around Lovina for a bit but we found Lovina to be a bit underwhelming. We ended up spending many hours at the cottage laying in the hammock, reading and playing chess. We were actually quite happy that we spent so much time lounging - it wasn't what we had planned for but it was just what we needed! The cottage felt peaceful and safe, and Luthu & Wangi made us feel very welcome. Our driver Made, who also lives in Sambangan, invited us into his home to meet his family which was very special. His taxi prices are a little steep because they are billed in USD, which works out more expensive for us in AUD, but we were happy to pay it because he was so friendly. Overall we had a very really wonderful time and highly recommend Wangi's cottage for a relaxing stay where you feel like family. Can't wait to go back :)
Christian
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Wangi is a great host. She arrange a pick up in Denpasar which brought us to the cottage. Everything was well organized and it was actually a fun ride with a short stop to see some monkeys. The cottage itself is located, just as shown on the picture, in the middle of rice fields. There are waterfalls close by, a nice restarant with a beautiful view is in walking distance(or you just stick to the great food prepared by Luthu at the cottage) and the beach can be reached by motorbike which kann be rented from Wangi for a reasonable price. We can fully recommend this place and felt more like friends than guest thanks to Wangi.
Hannah
We had the most amazing time staying at the cottage! It was beautiful service, beautiful food cooked, and beautiful surrounds. Wangi herself is an amazing hostess who goes above and beyond for her guests! We would definitely recommend to anyone in Bali to travel to sukasada to visit, it is worth the trip! We will certainly be staying again in the future!
Taco
Everything was perfect, the view, the cottage, the meal Lhutu prepared, the people who live nearby, the stars, breakfast... Made us feel very special.
Zara
Stayed for 4 nights- Wangi herself is a fun talkative host! She helped us arrange a motorbike, and taxi along with loads of info about the area and things to do. The cottage itself is really nice, great space in the garden and it's nice to have your own kitchen. There's a housekeeper who comes twice a day to make breakfast and then tidy the house later on. Laundry service is also availible. There's isn't much near the cottage in terms of amenities, there's a cafe which is really cool with huge wooden swings, bean bags and umbrellas- that's called Allam. Also a fancy restaurant called Santi, we didn't visit there because we were happy with the cafe anyway :) The mattress is slightly hard for our liking but it's ok, the sheets are good and pillows even better! My sister wasn't that keen on the amount of insects but it's fine if you use the mosquito net provided, they won't get in the bed. The fact there's no AC is not a problem at all, it's actually quite cool in the evening. Sadly the hot water wasn't working for our stay but we heated up pans and used that instead, not a big issue. Would definitely recommend and visit again when I'm in Bali :) Thanks for everything!

If the paradise exists ... I found it there !!! This place os beautiful quiet and peaceful ... Wangi is such a Nice person and si helpfull... We really enjoy and thank you for that ... Home to see you again... A BIG hug to Luthu, her kids and Gede who were si kind....

If you're looking to spend your Bali vacation among hordes of tourists paying way too much money for cookie-cutter experiences, this cottage isn't for you. Staying here was unlike any other place I've stayed at in dozens of countries. The cottage is beautifully charming and exquisitely built. Wangi has thought of just about every little thing you can think of (strategically-placed outlets? Check; shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream? Check; accessories for excursions & star-gazing? Check). Wangi instantly responded to my questions, was always available, and made me feel like home. Luftu is a chef whose culinary talents may only be surpassed by her knack at food presentation. I felt like I was in a four-star eatery. And Gaday is such a energetic tour guide/driver/fixer that he will no doubt be a part of my future Bali trips. Warning: Don't be seduced by the crowds and trappings of resorts. Stay here! It'll become one of your favorite travel stories that will make your friends & family jealous. Mine sure are!
Clara
Our stay in here was amazing! There was not one thing that was missing! Wangi was extremely helpful. We wanted to stay one more night but unfortunately there was no availability. Wangi stayed with us all afternoon helping us find another place. In conclusion, if you are looking for peace, genuinely nice people, beautiful surroundings and authentic bali, you really must stay here. And for more than one night! We really regret not having booked longer!
Julienne
When we arrived we were impressed of this amazing view- the ricefields and the cute cottage. Wangi and Luhtu welcomed us so heartful like we would know each other for years. We wanted a calm place where we can get to know Bali better and this place really exceeded all expectations. Arround the area we went to many Waterfalls, the holy springs, Lovina Beach- so there is a lot to do. In the evening we enjoyed to relax on the veranda or in the hammock. The best experience was the cooking in the evening with Luhtu, Wangi and their family- best Mie Goreng!
Laura
Words can't say how amazing our time at Wangis place was ♡ our favourite place in Bali. The cute cottage is just a perfect place to relax, chill out and explore pure Bali away from the tourity hustle and bustle. The cottage is amazing, cozy bed and open bathroom all very clean and tidy (thanks to gorgeous housekeeper Luhtu) and decorated with love. Even hot water for the rain-shower :). We enjoyed sitting on the veranda just staring at the surrounding garden and fields with a fresh Papaya juice. Fresh tab water is provided in the small kitchen as well as tea ans coffee. Wangi is the most amazing host - warm and welcoming, good to talk to, caring, helpful and such a happy and positive person. We'd love to spent some more nights playing cards and singing karaoke with you ;). Luhtu made us feel like home instantly and she is the best cook you can wish for. The Curry and Nasi Goreng are delicious and the Papaya Juice...! And for beakfast fresh fruits, eggs, toast, pancakes - it's perfect! She even took us on an evening walk trough the rice fields with her gorgeous little son which we enjoyed a lot. There is so much to do around the cottage as well. The waterfalls are wonderful so swin, slide and jump. Trekking in the fields or the waterfals area is also absolutely beautiful and the town of Singaraja is just 15min by scooter (very nice local market). We stayed for three nights but would have loved to stay longer. We can only highly recommend this peaceful place, if 6* would be possible I'd rate it 6! Thanks Wangi for making the time special and beeing a great host, we'll come back ☆☆☆☆☆☆

WOW!! Indescribable! Truly our best Airbnb experience EVER!! What a beautiful house in a very relaxing area! Modern, clean, comfortable, cosy, ... We keep Wangi, Luhtu and the kids forever in our hearts!! Wangi, thank you so much for your hospitality and friendly smile and help all day long. You gave us a very welcoming feeling from the very beginning. We realy admire you in the way you are! Luhtu, thank you so much for the most excellent service we ever had. We loved all your dishes (breakfast, teas, dinner,...) and we will try to make them at home. We had good times with your lovely childeren. One thing is for sure: one day we come back (maybe with our kids ;))
Francesca
My stay in this little cottage was just divine! Wangi was so accommodating and I felt so welcomed from the moment I arrived. Luhtu who cooks the most amazing food, was so welcoming and I felt immediately at home. I felt like a queen having someone cook for me if I wanted (I would recommend!). My banana pancakes for breakfast were amazing, and I think Luhtu's Gado Gado was my favourite in Bali. The cottage had everything I needed, cushions, woven mats to have picnics out on the grass for sunset/stargazing, extra blankets, the little kitchen was lovely, the bathroom great. The deck around the cottage was perfect for yoga and just a perfect place to chill oooout. The wifi was also fantastic which surprised me in this location. The area is lovely and quiet and I enjoyed the privilege of getting to observe Balinese rice-field life. I have no critiques. Wangi was also prompt with replying and organising logistics. One of the highlights of my trip. I will be highly recommending this place to friends, and I will definitely be back one day!

The cottage is lovely! The place is quite and calm, perfect to relax and gather thoughts. Our house was well-equipped and very functional. You have to be prepared that the place is so peacful but what comes with that there is not many things to do (except the waterfalls) in area of walking. The food which we ate at the cottage was also tasty. Delicious banana pancakes! Wangi and Luhtu are really nice, helpful and comunicative. They thought us many interesting things about balinese culture

At first: it was the best cottage on our trip in Bali ☺️ wangi an luthu were so friendly and helpfully. If we had a question, they always cared about it and made it possible. The breakfast was awesome and you can choice it everyday. The feeling was like family ;)

We had a magical stay in Wangi's beautiful cottage. We were two adult and two children, and everybody loved it. Wangi is so nice and helpful, felt like staying with a friend. She played football and chess with our boys and took me for a lovely walk through the rice fields. Luthu looked after us every morning and evening, cooking great food! She is so good hearted and always giving you a warm smile. She also brought her son with her, and our boys loved getting a new friend. House is fantastic, rice fields beautiful and all neighbors super friendly. I can highly recommend this cottage!

My husband myself and fifteen year old son stayed at Wangi's cottage for three nights during a three week holiday on Bali. Staying here was the highlight of our trip. We loved everything about the cottage and were looked after extremely well by Wangi and Luhtu. Wangi helped us to explore some beautiful waterfalls rock pools and spectacular rice terraces. We enjoyed watching the local farmers tend their rice fields and enjoyed the natural sounds emanating from the surrounding environment Luhtu cooked us delicious breakfasts and dinners. The cottage itself is gorgeous and when it was time to say goodbye we felt like we were leaving good friends. We are planning to come back to visit Wangi and Luhtu on our next trip to Bali.

wangi's place is very nice and very quiet. My wife and I have been greatly welcome by Luthu which is the housekeeper. Both wangi and Luthu made our stay a great moment. I hope we will be able to come there again. Once more, thank you Wangi for that perfect moment in your cottage :)

My friends and I stayed at Wangi's place and we had an amazing time there. First the cottage is even more beautiful than the photos can show. The area is so nice and everyone in the village is friendly and know each other. Wangi is exceptional, she planned everything for us while she was working during the day as well. She found us drivers, bike, made sure that everything went alright for us. She is such a good person, you can really feel her sincerity in everything she does, it is so nice to meet someone like her. Also Luhtu who comes to make us breakfast and propose us tea or coffee at any moment she is there, is fantastic. They both always have a big smile and make you feel like at home. The driver Wangi recommend us, Gede is really cool, if he is on holidays you should ask for him, he waited for us hours and always have the smile when we came back, gave us some sweet, we really appreciated, he is driving well as well and knows local places far from tourist, exactly what we asked him for. The cottage itself is just lovely, looks better than on the pics, and in a quiet and peaceful area. Honestly we were sad to leave the place we just want to go back again :)

Wangi's cottage is the best place to spend some relaxing days in one of the most beautiful areas of Bali. Nearby you can easily find rice paddies, waterfalls, nice beaches, hot spring etc. Wangi is an incredibly amazing host, the house is very well designed and equipped with everything you possibly need. Thank you for the wonderful time we could spent at the cottage and we recommend your place to everybody :) Orsi

From the moment we stepped out of the car, on the side of the road, starting a procession down the little path with our suitcases, we felt joyfully welcomed home. You walk down a path between rice patties and field of veggies to a little well kept cottage. A sweet garden cleverly planted with lots of lemongrass all around the house. One bedroom, surrounded by an open porch with two tables, one to sit on the floor, one with chairs, and one hammock. The bedroom has a little loft up a lather where our two sons slept. We were blessed to be here on a full moon, it was magical. The waterfalls are really only 10 to 15 minutes walking distance, with a guide we jumped down cliffs and we all had a blast. Our boys are 18 and 20, the driver we got from wangi, wangi herself, the guides from the waterfalls, all are in their early twenties, that made for interesting conversations all around. The exchange of culture, college, traditions, work, offerings, spirituality, religion... We talked about everything. We rented motorbikes to go to the hot spring and were lucky that wangi was on Holliday and went with us. After 10 minutes we all got used to the traffic but to be guided by her in the labyrinth of all the little roads was a true blessings. All in all, to resume our three nights at wangi: the food was soulful and delicious, we felt cared for like family. The frogs singing all night, the soft early morning light, the simplicity and sweetness. At wangi's place, you are IN the postcard treated like family. We highly recommend this place if you desire to have a true Balinese heartfelt and simple experience of a rural village life. You will: hear prayers singing at night, see farmers working in the field around the house, be surrounded with sounds of running streams, and feel you landed in paradise. Wangi, thank you!

Wangi's cute cottage is fantastic! So clean and in a wonderful setting set amongst the rice fields. I stayed with my three daughters and we loved being so close to all the waterfalls. Wangi, her family & staff are really wonderful and made us feel so genuinely welcome. I highly recommend both Wangi's place and the amazing waterfalls and surrounding area.

Wangi was an amazing host. My wife and I had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was the most incredible experience we had in Bali. The town is so charming and the landscaping is beautiful. It is close to a lot of gorgeous waterfalls and also close to the beach. Everything was very clean and the breakfasts were very good. I would suggest this cottage to everyone.

I enjoyed my stay at Wangi's beautiful cottage. She is an excellent host! Very kind and trustworthy. The cook prepared wonderful home cooked meals which I really appreciated after being on the road for awhile. The cottage is fairly new, very clean, and built with my care. The waterfalls are a short walk. The evenings were quiet with the sound of crickets and frogs. And after being in some of the busier, touristy areas of Bali, I really appreciated the sound of nature. Perfect for couples or solo travelers.

This was by far our most enjoyable and meaningful stay during our 3 weeks of traveling in Bali. I simply wish I could yell out to the whole in hopes of getting people to experience this special place, but I suppose a short review will do for now. It would be a disservice not to mention how easy and consistent it was to establish initial communication with the host, Wangi. She was incredibly flexible, easy to get a hold of, and was beyond helpful in ensuring our stay was positive through out. We had mentioned our interest in listening to local gamelan music, and low and behold, the night we arrived she had found us a festival to attend in the nearby city of Singajara! Lets talk about the cottage and setting! The cottage was incredibly cozy, clean, well designed and homely. The entire exterior is a porch that wraps around the center room, allowing for hammock swinging, rice watching, cow observing, rain listening, afternoon napping, and bearing witness to life in Bali. While the cottage also includes a fully stocked kitchen, we chose to eat from the Michellin starred chef, Luhtu, who was also the housekeeper. Luhtu's Mie Goreng was by far the best dish we had during our stay! Not only did she welcome us with fresh coconuts upon our arrival, she also guided us through the quiet rice fields which surround the cottage itself. It should be worth noting that the cottage is tucked away in a small village roughly 15 minutes by scooter/car to Singajara, the second largest city in Bali. However 15 minutes really do not capture how serene and isolated this small, farming village seems in comparison to the nearby city. Singaraja was also a very charming and impressively modern city as well. Just a 10 minute walk up the road are seven powerful and refreshing waterfalls. You can visit the waterfalls, but in order to swim and jump off the rocks, you will need to hire a guide (all of which are friendly and insightful of the surroundings). We had a blast sliding, jumping and swimming in these stunning waterfalls. This was the only Airbnb that also included toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, lotion, and a full medical kit for scratches, upset stomaches, bug bites and masks for when you scooter around the city. Wangi also provided two flashlights, bug repel, cereal and milk for late night snacking (thanks Wangi!) and stocked our fridge with ice cream every night. If you want quiet and privacy, Wangi is quick to provide space for total relaxation. However, she was also a joy to be around and we do not hesitate to say we felt like family during our stay. I cannot say enough good things about this place; when we look back on our travels in Bali, the first memory that comes to mind is the 4 days spent here at this "Cute cottage near 7 waterfalls". Thank you Wangi, Luhtu and family! Stay here!

Magnifique!
