WaveSync (“the app”) allows users to share audio in real time with nearby devices over a local Wi-Fi connection. This Privacy Policy explains what data is used, how permissions are handled, and how user privacy is protected.

1. What WaveSync does

WaveSync lets one device (“host”) share audio with other nearby devices (“guests”) over the same local Wi-Fi network.

• Audio streaming happens locally

• Audio is not uploaded to the internet

• No user accounts are required

2. Data we collect

WaveSync does not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, contacts, or audio content.

The app may collect limited technical data only to improve reliability:

• Crash reports

• Error logs

• Device model and Android version

• App version information

This data is collected only when an error or crash occurs.

3. Audio recording and playback

WaveSync requires access to audio in order to function:

• Audio access is used only to capture or play sound for sharing

• Audio is streamed in real time

• Audio is not recorded

• Audio is not stored

• Audio is not analyzed

• Audio is not transmitted to external servers

All audio remains within the local network between connected devices.

4. Network communication

• Audio and control data are exchanged only over the local Wi-Fi network

• No audio data is sent to cloud servers

• No audio data leaves the local environment

WaveSync does not use the internet to relay audio streams.

5. Notifications

WaveSync may request notification access in order to:

• Show ongoing session status (for example, “Sharing sound” or “Connected to a room”)

• Inform users about connection state changes

• Keep the user aware when audio sharing is active

Notifications are informational only and are not used for advertising or tracking.

6. Third-party services

WaveSync may use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Crashlytics
  Used solely to collect anonymized crash and error reports to improve app stability.

No advertising SDKs are used.
User data is not sold or shared with third parties.

7. Permissions summary

WaveSync may request the following permissions:

• Audio / Recording – required to capture and play sound for sharing

• Network access – required for device-to-device communication over Wi-Fi

• Camera – used only for scanning QR codes (if enabled)

• Notifications – used to display session status and connection information

Permissions are used only for core functionality and never for tracking.

8. Data retention

• Crash and diagnostic data is retained only as long as needed for debugging

• No audio data is stored

9. Children’s privacy

WaveSync does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
The app does not include features targeted specifically at children.

10. User control

You can:

• Disable permissions at any time through system settings

• Stop audio sharing instantly by closing the app

• Clear app data or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored information

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app evolves.
Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
