Completing Registration
To help you complete account registration and ensure the security of your account, when you register a Wave Browser account, we will collect your username and nickname. Without this information, we will not be able to create an account for you or provide you with cloud synchronization services.
Data Synchronization
To ensure you can normally use our synchronization services, share data across different devices, complete data synchronization, and enhance your experience, we collect your current bookmarks when you use our cloud services. Without this information, you will not be able to use the synchronization service.
Notification Services
To prevent users from missing important reminders, such as breaking news, unexpected weather conditions, and weather and news broadcast functions that will be added in subsequent versions.
(2) Function or permission usage instructions
During your use of Wave Browser, we may request device permissions within the necessary scope. We will not enable your device permissions by default; we will only collect your information through device permissions after you actively confirm. For the permissions we request, their purposes, and whether we seek your consent before requesting permissions, please refer to the following:
1. Notification Cleaner
This feature uses the BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE permission to provide better notification management functionality. It is described below:
Permission Usage:
This application requests access to notifications in order to be able to read the content of a user's notifications. This enables the app to provide a customized notification management experience, including:
Blocking and displaying notifications from other apps.
Allowing the user to manage all notifications in one place.
Data Collection and Use:
The app accesses notification content only as authorized by the user. We do not collect or store the user's personal information or notification content, and all data processing is done locally on the device and is not transmitted to external servers.
User Controls:
Users can revoke authorization for notification access at any time in the device's settings. If the user chooses to revoke permission, the app will stop accessing notifications and revert to the default notification behavior.
2. Notifications and Reminders:
We send you alerts for news, junk cleaning, process management, battery check, etc. via notifications or hover windows.
These permissions are granted with your consent and can be turned off at any time in the system settings.
We do not collect your information or upload it to any third party through these permissions.
3. Weather Features:
In order to provide you with accurate local weather forecasting services, we request access to your location information (including precise or rough location) when you use our weather features. Your location information is only used to obtain real-time weather data and to enhance your experience. We do not store your location information on our servers or share it with any third party. You can manage or revoke access to your location information at any time in your device settings. Please note, however, that revoking access may affect the normal operation of the weather function.
4. Access and use the list of installed apps:
Our application may access the list of installed applications on your device to provide the following features: process management, notification cleanup, and junk cleanup.
Junk Cleaner: In order to efficiently scan and clean junk files, Junk Cleaner uploads the acquired app list to our secure servers for the latest scanning rules and definitions. This ensures that our cleanup process is always up-to-date and efficient. The application list is transmitted in a secure manner and is only used to enhance the effectiveness of the Junk Cleaner feature. We do not share this information with any third parties and protect it according to our data security policy.
Process Management and Notification Cleanup: for these two features, the app only fetches the list of installed apps locally on your device. This information is used to manage running processes and clean up notifications in real time. We do not store or transfer this data out of your device or share it with any third party.
Data processing and protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that the data collected is handled securely. The list of uploaded apps used for the Junk Cleaning feature is encrypted during transmission and is only used to obtain updated scanning rules. We do not use this information for any other purpose and do not disclose it externally.
5. QR code scanning feature:
Our app requires access to your device's camera in order to enable the QR code scanning feature. When you use this feature, the app calls the camera to scan the QR code to help you quickly access relevant content or perform a specific action. Camera permissions are only used when you actively turn on the QR code scanning feature; we do not capture, store, or transmit any of your images or videos. You can manage or revoke camera permissions at any time in your device settings. Please note that disabling camera permissions may affect the normal use of the QR code scanning feature, but will not affect other features of the app.
6.Junk Cleanup:
We request access to your device's storage (i.e., “All Files Access” permission) in order to provide you with an efficient junk cleaning feature. This feature is designed to scan your device storage to identify and clean unnecessary files, cache and residual data to free up storage space and improve device performance.
Data access and usage
After you grant storage permissions, the application will access your device storage, including files and directories, to analyze and identify junk files that can be safely deleted.
All scanning and analysis processes are done locally on your device
Data security and privacy protection
We take your privacy very seriously. The data accessed by the Junk Cleaner feature is only used to identify useless files that can be cleaned. We do not collect, store or upload any of your personal files or sensitive information to our servers. Your data remains on your device at all times and we do not share this information with any third parties.
User control and choice
You have the right to decide whether or not to grant storage access. If you choose not to grant this permission, the trash removal feature may not work properly, but this will not affect your ability to use other features of the app. You can manage or revoke storage permissions at any time through your device settings.
(3) Use of Personal Information for Other Purposes
If we intend to use your personal information for purposes not specified in this policy or use information collected for a specific purpose for other purposes, we will seek your prior consent.
