Effective date: July 14, 2026
Summary: Wavecut does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. The app has no internet access permission, no analytics, and no advertising SDKs. Everything you record and edit stays on your device.
This policy applies to the Wavecut - Audio Editor mobile application ("Wavecut", "the app"), developed for Android. It explains what data the app accesses, what it does with that data, and your rights.
None. Wavecut does not request the INTERNET permission and contains no networking code, so nothing the app touches — recordings, edited audio files, project data, or usage information — is capable of leaving your device. We do not operate any servers to receive it, and we have no way to access it.
The app does not require an account, does not use cookies or device identifiers for tracking, and does not include any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
When you record with Wavecut or open/import an audio file, that audio is processed and stored only in the app's private storage area on your device (and, for files you explicitly export, in your device's shared Music/Downloads storage). This data is never uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app, or deleting a project inside the app, removes the associated files from your device.
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — required so you can record audio directly in the app. Audio is captured only while you are actively recording and is written straight to local storage.
Bluetooth connect (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT) — used only to display the real name of a connected Bluetooth headset or microphone in the input-device picker. No Bluetooth data is stored or transmitted.
Wavecut does not request location, contacts, camera, SMS, call log, or any other sensitive permission.
Features such as AI noise removal, silence detection, normalization, fades, and music-bed ducking run entirely through native, on-device signal processing. No audio or metadata is sent to any external service to provide these features.
Wavecut does not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose any data to third parties, because it does not collect any data to begin with. If you use the app's Share function to send an exported file to another app of your choosing (e.g. a messaging app), that transfer is initiated by you through the operating system's Share sheet and is governed by that other app's own privacy policy — Wavecut is not involved in and has no visibility into that transfer.
Wavecut is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information from any user.
All recordings, projects, and exported files remain on your device under your control until you delete them yourself, either within the app or via your device's file manager, or until you uninstall the app.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
