Commitment to Your Privacy
Wave Defense ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Wave Defense: Idle Tower TD mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the App.
Our Approach: Minimal Data
The App is an offline, single-player game. It does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email address, or any personal details. We do not operate our own servers, and we do not collect or transmit your personal information to us. The App does display third-party advertisements through Google AdMob, which may collect certain device-level information as described below.
Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores game data locally on your device to deliver core functionality. This includes your game progress (worlds, waves, upgrades, achievements, missions), in-game currency balances, settings and preferences (such as sound, music, haptics, and notification choices), and usage-related flags needed for the App to operate (such as whether the tutorial has been shown). Some data is stored using iOS storage mechanisms (including UserDefaults), which can persist across reinstalls depending on device behavior.
iCloud Sync
If iCloud is enabled on your device, the App may store a copy of your game save in your personal iCloud account (using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage) so that your progress can be restored after reinstalling the App or switching devices. This data is stored in your own Apple account, is managed by Apple, and is not accessible to us. You can control iCloud behavior in your device's iCloud settings.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App schedules local notifications on your device (for example, daily reward reminders and gameplay reminders). These notifications are created and delivered entirely on your device; no information is sent to us or to any third party. You can disable notifications at any time in the App's settings or in iOS Settings.
In-App Purchases
Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple may process purchase-related information according to its own privacy policy. Ownership of non-consumable purchases is verified on your device through Apple's StoreKit framework.
Advertising
The App displays third-party advertisements powered by Google AdMob, including banner ads and full-screen rewarded ads shown at certain points during gameplay (such as after battles or when claiming daily rewards). Google AdMob may collect certain device information — such as advertising identifiers (IDFA), IP address, and usage data — to serve relevant ads. This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy, which you can review at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's privacy settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). A "Remove Ads" in-app purchase permanently disables all advertisements for your Apple account.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. Because the App does not collect personal information and does not transmit data to our own servers, there is nothing for us to share. Data handled by Apple (such as iCloud sync and App Store purchases) is processed by Apple under its own policies. Data collected by Google AdMob is processed by Google under its own policies. We may disclose information if required by law, although in practice we hold no user data to disclose.
Data Retention and Deletion
Game data stored on your device remains until you delete it. You can erase your progress at any time using the "Reset All Progress" option in the App's settings, or by removing the App and disabling its iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings. Data synced to your iCloud account is retained and managed by Apple under your Apple account.
Security
Your game data is protected by the security mechanisms of your device and, where applicable, your iCloud account. We use reasonable safeguards in the App's design; however, no method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The App is a casual game suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the App collects no personal information and requires no account, no personal data of children is processed by us. Please note that Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers from all users. Parents can manage in-app purchases and ad tracking through Apple's parental controls (such as Ask to Buy, Screen Time, and Limit Ad Tracking).
International Users
Any data handled by Apple (such as iCloud and App Store services) may be processed in countries where Apple operates, under Apple's own policies. Data collected by Google AdMob may be processed in countries where Google operates, under Google's own policies. We do not transfer any user data ourselves.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be made available wherever the Privacy Policy is posted and will take effect when posted.
