What is World Areito Union?

World Areito Union [shorted to WAU Sports] is a Live Reality Game that combines the structure of reality competition with the unpredictability of a live sports and entertainment presentation.

What does 'Areito' mean?

Areito is a ceremony that brings the community together to celebrate life with storytelling through competition, music, song, and dance. The word is derived from the Taíno language in the Caribbean and is pronounced [ah-reh-EE-toh]. World Areito Union's mission is to unite the world and build community through competition that fosters human connection.

Who runs World Areito Union?

World Areito Union was founded by Ariel De Jesus Peralta, an executive in the sports and entertainment industry and multi-time LRG player that is obsessed with live reality games but isn't very good at playing them. 

How much do I have to pay to play a game?

WAU Sports is a members-only league and you must be a member to play. While it is free to apply, memberships start at just $3.99 per month. Limited support is available to cover fees.

We'd still love for you to play but we understand how important timing is and if the timing is not right there are multiple ways to support: tune into the broadcast when it premieres in June of 2026. You can also support by referring a family or friend to apply and play! And finally, you can also purchase merchandise. WAU Sports is working with sponsors and limited support may be available. Apply today and we'll work with you on accommodations. 

I'd love to play but I don't see my city listed on the calendar, how do I back my town?

You can lobby for your home town in the application. The more interest in a territory the more likely we'll schedule a game.
