Watson's Malawi Partnership is an educational charity, established to support initiatives experienced by students of George Watson’s College during the school's annual trip to Malawi.
Our goal is to provide financial and practical support to organisations working tirelessly to help young people in Malawi to thrive, even in the most challenging conditions.
In keeping with the ethos of dignified partnership espoused by the Scotland Malawi Partnership, we focus on five areas where we believe we can provide more meaningful, long-term support: Education; Health & wellbeing; Sport & culture; Environment and Enterprise.
Our programme would not be possible without the commitment and support of staff, students and communities of Edinburgh and Malawi who have donated their time, money and resources to support the many and various activities of our partners.
In keeping with the ethos of dignified partnership espoused by the Scotland Malawi Partnership, we aim to provide sustainable support to our partners in Malawi, mindful of our impact on the local community.
Through listening to and learning from the people we meet during our annual visit to Malawi, we identify grassroots initiatives where we can add value, guided by the people who live there.
