ABOUT
This conference aims to bring together researchers in Norway who work with all aspects of water waves. We welcome researchers from both applied and theoretical fields with the hope that participants can learn about each other's research and results and explore opportunities for new collaborations and applications. Some examples of topics we hope to cover include:
Numerical methods for water waves
Applications and models in oceanography and meteorology
Wave energy
Theory and modeling
Applications in aquaculture, offshore wind, and shipping
Observations and measurements
The conference will span 2 days. It is open to everyone, and the conference dinner is included.
We want to encourage participants to propose a 30-minute presentation for the workshop.
Given that the conference will have participants with a relatively wide range of backgrounds and prior knowledge, we encourage presentations to take this into account.
We have already confirmed participation from NTNU, UiO, UiB, SINTEF and MET.
Location: Simula Research Laboratory, Kristian Augusts gate 23, Oslo.
The conference will take place in the HPL lecture room on the 8th floor. Registration in Simula reception on the first floor.
