Welcome to WaterBuddy: Water Tracker. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines what information our app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
By using Water Intake Tracker, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
To provide you with a personalized hydration goal, our app requires you to input specific health-related data.
We collect the following health data:
Body Weight: Used exclusively to calculate your optimal daily hydration goal.
Activity Level: Used exclusively to adjust your daily hydration goal based on your lifestyle.
Water Intake Logs: The daily amounts of water you log within the app to track your hydration progress and streaks.
Notifications & Alarms: The app requests permission to send you local notifications and schedule exact alarms. This is used strictly to deliver timely water drinking reminders.
100% Local Storage: All health data (weight, activity level, and water logs) and personal preferences are stored locally on your device.
Our app does not connect to any backend servers, does not upload your data to the cloud, and does not transmit your information over the internet.
The data collected is used solely for the core functionality of the app:
To calculate and recommend an accurate daily water intake goal.
To track your daily progress and historical hydration streaks.
To trigger personalized, local reminders based on your drinking habits.
IMPORTANT
Prohibited Use Cases: Your health data is NEVER used for employment decisions, insurance purposes, advertising, or shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
WaterBuddy: Water Tracker stores your personal health data (such as weight, gender, and daily water logs) locally on your device. We do not store, retain, or transmit your personal health data to any external servers or databases.
Your data is retained only for as long as the app is installed on your device. You can permanently delete all of your data at any time by using the "Delete Health Data" option within the app's Settings menu, or simply by uninstalling the application. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.
Because all data remains completely local to your device, we do not share, sell, or trade your personal or health data with any third parties. There are no analytics trackers or advertising SDKs embedded in this app that collect your health data.
You maintain complete control over your data.
Export Data: You can export a copy of all your tracked water logs directly from the "Settings" > "My Health Data" menu.
Delete Data: You can permanently delete all health data and app preferences at any time by navigating to "Settings" > "My Health Data" and selecting Reset Data. Because data is stored locally, this action irreversibly wipes all your information from the device.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
